Like Ive said many times before Floyd was an incredibly talented boxer, he had the talent to really be one of TBE BUT talent alone dont cut it For me he lacked the heart & courage to be a GREAT!! He chose the easy way. We all know what he did. n my honest opinion HE CHEATED!!!!! culminating in IV gate. NO one has provided any legitmate reason he needed a 750 ml saline drip 25 hours before the debacle of May 2 2915 Only the OBVIOUS !!!!

Pac was still knocked out 3 times once unconscious. Undeniable.

I consider him top 15 in terms of greatness as well. First of all the 8 division titles. Which is ridiculous. Imagine a guy like Inoue moving up to WW and fighting Spence, but then not only fighting Spence, but tearing his head off. It's just not logical. Yet that's what Pacquiao essentially did when he fought Cotto.

You could make the argument that Pacquiao has the 2 best wins of this century so far. It's now 2017 and 17 years into the 2000's and I still can't think of any victory that tops what Pacquiao did against Marco Antonio Barrera. To win every round after the 1st and force a one sided stoppage over an ATG in his prime. While moving UP IN WEIGHT is ridiculous. It's just simply one of the best performances in the history of boxing.

And then we have the Cotto fight. Which sure if it was just a Welterweight who destroyed Cotto it wouldn't be quite as ridiculously impressive. But it wasn't a Welterweight who wrecked Cotto. It was a former Flyweight Champion. Pac viciously beat down a HOF Welter (not ATG though) coming up from 112 lineal title.

The thing is nobody does this stuff.
Nobody that I know of today is capable of completely thrashing a HOF fighter like Cotto with that much size advantage. I can't think of any fighter today who could take on a prime ATG and give him a total one sided ass whooping like Pac did to Barrera. With the exception of Lomachenko I don't see anybody today who could totally whitewash an ATG in their prime. Who I don't think could destroy an ATG like Pac did to Barrera, but it wouldn't surprise me if he beat a guy like Marquez in his prime 11 rounds to 1 by just outboxing them silly.

Pac is a little better than May just like Duran is a little better than Leonard. Smaller guy went up more weight classes, fought bigger opponents, fought the toughest guys around whenever he could, put more on the line, lost a little more, but won more too.

You hated him way before he fought Pac though.. What's the reasoning for that?

That's like me saying I hated Trump for years because he became president...lol

You really think Pac deserves to be top 15 in the modern gloved era? I generally place him and Floyd in the 30s, but let's investigate this a little bit. The classic section has a top 100 list. Why don't we align each with their signature wins and see how Pac and May stack up against like the top 30 or so?

01 - Sam Langford - Jeanette, McVey, Wills, Norfolk, Flowers, Gans, Godfrey, O'Brien
02 - Harry Greb - Tunney, Walker, Loughran, Gibbons, Norfolk, Slattery, Smith, Levinsky, Miske
03 - Sugar Ray Robinson - Angott, Zivic, Armstrong, LaMotta, Gavilan, Villemain, Fullmer, Basilio, Graziano, Olson
04 - Henry Armstrong - Arizmendi, Ross, Ambers, Garcia, Angott, Wolgast, Jenkins, Zivic,
05 - Ezzard Charles - Louis, Walcott, Moore, Bivins, Burley, Maxim, Yarosz, Overlin, Marhsall, Christoforidis, Lesnevich
06 - Bob Fitzsimmons - Dempsey, Maher, Corbett, Gardiner, O'Brien
07 - Muhammad Ali - Liston, Moore, Patterson, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Ellis, Quarry
08 - Joe Gans - Erne, Connolly, Nelson, Sullivan, ?
09 - Joe Louis - Carnera, Levinsky, Baer, Uzcudun, Sharkey, Braddock, Schmeling, Conn, Nova, Walcott, Savold, Bivins
10 - Roberto Duran - Leonard, DeJesus, Buchanan, Barkley, Cuevas, Palomino, Ishimatsu, Mamby, Viruet, Marcel, Kobayashi
11 - Benny Leonard - Welsh, Dundee, Kilbane, Britton, White, Tendler
12 - Mickey Walker - Britton, Tendler, Flowers, Levinsky, Uzcudun, Rosenbloom
13 - Willie Pep - Saddler, Wright, Ortiz, Famechon
14 - Barney Ross - McLarnin, Canzoneri, Battalino, Garcia
15 - Archie Moore - Bivins, Chase, Williams, Johnson, Satterfield, Maxim, Olson, Cocoa Kid, Marshall
16 - Ray Leonard - Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Benitez, Mayweather, Lalonde
17 - George Dixon - Kelly, Wallace, McCarthy, Sullivan
18 - Terry McGovern - Gans, Dixon, Erne, Palmer,
    19 - Packey McFarland - Welsh, Britton
20 - Pernell Whitaker - Mayweather, Haugen, Nelson, McGirt
21 - Tony Canzoneri - McLarnin, Ambers, Dundee, Singer, Berg, Chocolate, Arizmendi
22 - Jimmy McLarnin - Mandell, Singer, Corbett III, Ross, Canzoneri, Ambers, Leonard, Petrolle, Villa, La Barba
23 - Sandy Saddler - Pep, Carter, Brown, Elorde, De Marco
    24 - Stanley Ketchel - Sullivan, Papke, O'Brien
25 - Charley Burley - Cocoa Kid, Moore, Williams, Zivic, Soose, Chase
26 - Holman Williams - Cocoa Kid, Booker, Burley, Marshall, Chase, Moore, Satterfield,
27 - Billy Conn - Krieger, Apostoli, Yarosz, Bettina, Lesnevich, McCoy, Savold, Zale
28 - Gene Tunney - Dempsey, Greb, Carpentier, Gibbons, Levinsky
29 - Roy Jones - Hopkins, Toney, McCallum, Hill, Tarver, Ruiz
30 - Joe Walcott - Ferns, Dixie Kid, Jackson, Smith
Manny Pacquiao- Marquez, Morales, Barrera, De La Hoya, Cotto, Bradley, Margarito, Mosley, Hatton, Ledwaba
Floyd Mayweather Jr.- Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Alvarez, Castillo, Corrales, Mosley, Cotto, Hernandez, Marquez

You know, honestly, I feel like I could shoulder about 10 of these guys aside to make room for May and Pac, although that may just be a sign of my own ignorance. Still, a lot of their ledgers are just obviously better like Greb, Robinson, or Charles' CVs.

This is irrelevant to greatness in boxing. Floyd is a better boxer, therefore, he's greater.

Better by what criteria? I think he's better in some ways, worse in others.

The only thing I know for sure is that when the records are rolled out, Pac's name will always be in the losers slot for Mayweather vs Pacquiao.
