I think it might be enough to make him the goat yes. Brunson, Jacare, Romero, Rockhold. Thats an insane 4 fight streak. Insane. The only issue is it's a bit Liddell, smashing all the grapplers but not beating elite strikers, and the last one he faced smashed him. But are there any elite strikers in the MW division today, I'd argue no. Gastelum is probably as close as it gets.
As for prime Silva, as in before the Diaz fights, he was never out struck so it's hard imagining it happening, especially against someone who's never out struck a striker. Very hard call, but one worth debating.

Rockhold has 3 losses. All three via tko round 1. I'm not saying it wouldn't be impressive. I'm just saying short fights are the only way this "monster" has lost at this point.
Whittaker has been super impressive at middleweight and proved me wrong. Initially I thought he would be too small as he didn't look like a huge welter back then. I still favour Rockhold with his insane ground game but it's really close to a 50-50 fight imo. Great matchup for the real title.
I will be definitely going and can't wait to for this fight, while I don't think if Whitaker wins it makes him the GOAT as yet he at least becomes part of the discussion that win streak is hard to ignore and may end up looking better over time.I think Rockhold matches up well and as a Whitaker fan he worries me most out of the top contenders at the moment but I think Whitaker has the better stand up game with the power to test Rockholds questionable chin and eventually KO him.Prime Silva vs. Whitaker would have been fun fight,I think Whitaker definitely would've had a chance but I think Silva may have been a little to quick and win a competitive fight.
I actually agree for what it's worth. I think Rockhold is a genuine ATG who has chin issues. Belfort and Bisping proved that much. I'm just saying it's not as simple as Rockhold only loses by 1 round ko, he very easily could have lost the Jacare decision. That being said I do think NK Whittaker gets him out of there.
I was only making an observation. I'm not saying that in order to defeat Rockhold it has to be done in round one.
