You've done this before and it seems people do want to discuss it, so perhaps you're the odd one out?

I think it would in this order of popularity

    Canelo-GGG- 6th
    Joshua-Povetkin - 1st
    Groves-Smith- 7th
    Bellew-usyk- 4th
    Wilder-Fury- 3rd
    Whyte-Chisora II- 2nd
    Khan-Brook- 5th
    Frampton-Warrington- 8th

    In the UK:

    1. Joshua v Povetkin
    2. Khan v Brook
    3. Fury v Wilder
    4. Whyte v Chisora II
    5. Bellew v Usyk
    6. Canelo v GGG
    7. Frampton v Warrington
    8. Groves v Smith

Joshua will outsell everyone. I think Brook v Khan will do surprisingly well despite being past it's sell by date, Fury v Wilder will do well but being 3-5am will have a negative effect over here.

Whyte/Chisora and Bellew/Usyk are about the same level but no casuals know who Usyk is and I think Whyte will benefit of being a potential Joshua fight.

The rest will bomb, Frampton v Warrington isn't PPV, Canelo v GGG is at 5am between a Mexican and a Kazakh and Groves v Smith is in Saudi Arabia on ITV where no one hears about it happening.

I know i’m gonna sound like @Jurgen but these PPV’s are getting a bit out of hand now. Imo a few of them fights could be made without ppv. Whyte-Chisora would be an absolute joke, I like them both but the money to pay them could surely be generated by normal means.
Groves and Smith shouldn’t be PPV. It’s getting pretty much paid for by the Saudi’s.
GGGvAlvarez is in middle of the night between two foreign fighters.
I could go on, but PPV should be for the fights that can’t happen without that extra financial boost. It’s exploiting a few hundred thousand genuine hardcore fans.
What undermines it all is the fact that if you shut your eyes and ears till a few hours after the event, you can watch it for nothing on YouTube anyway.

    Moan over.

    Proper PPV numbers

    1. Joshua-Povetkin:
Obvious. All the other PPV's hurt it a little though.

    Gets: 800k - 1mil
    -------------------------------------
    Good numbers but nothing special

    2. Khan-Brook:
Doesn't do massive numbers that you'd expect, but being on sky and under Eddie pushes it over Wilder-Fury by a decent margin.

    Gets: 350k - 550k

    3. Wilder-Fury
Being on the BT Box Office platform will give it a tough time. Won't get the same level of hype and advertisement as a matchroom/sky card so that's why I think Khan-Brook beats it.

    Gets: 300k - 400k

    4. Bellew-Usyk
Again, Bellew is now quite well known. Usyk not as much, but Bellew will give it some okay numbers, and I also wouldn't be surprised if it beats Wilder-Fury by a small margin.

    Gets: 250k - 350k

    5. Canelo-GGG
This is BT's first PPV and neither fighter is British. But they are well known enough to get okay numbers.

    Gets: 200k
    ----------------------------------------
    Weak but sells some

    6. Frampton-Warrington
The only reason this fight sells as PPV is Frampton's popularity in Northern Ireland which will give it some pulling power. But in all honesty it shouldn't be a PPV. It's in a weird position where the matchup deserves PPV but the names and the platform isn't strong enough to do it.

    Gets: 100k - 150k
    ------------------------------------------
    Fails

    7. Whyte-Chisora II
This should never ever sell as a PPV, ever. But being under matchroom and on sky box office would give it a nice boost, enough to sell 50k. Simply being on the sky platform allows it to edge the failure that is Groves-Smith...

    Gets: 50k - 100k

    8. Groves-Smith
This will struggle more than it should do. ITV Box Office hasn't produced outstanding numbers so far. But I think ITV has huge potential and I think they will get some of the advertisement right. For example, they regularly advertise fights during their England football games, and if there's one place you want to advertise a fight, it's there. It'll still fail drastically though.

    Gets: 50k

Groves v Smith way to high I would say no way that does more than the two sky ppv fights you have put underneath.

    1. AJ v Pov
    2. Khan v Brook
    3. Whyte v Del Boy ( after both there last performances )
    4. Wilder v Fury
    5. Bellew v Usyk
    6. Canelo v GGG
    7. Smith v Groves
    8. Frampton v Warrington

Didn't Groves v Eubank do great on the same channel?

I don't think Groves Eubank did great at all. My casual friends had no idea it was on due to lack of any proper promotion and plugging, and due to the awful format I had to resort to listening to it on Talk sh..port radio.

I'm baffled that an ITV4 can exist these days, yet fights are still inaccessible. A bit of a rant, but I'm a BT subscriber and customer, yet living rurally it still isn't available on the TV, so I'm left with a poor lagging stream and sat on a phone or computer. Jealous of the ITV/BBC says that the older generation had available. Too many fights these days are simply not box office worthy and either isolate real fans or can't get the public excited for due to a previous (lesser fights) lacking exposure on accessible platforms.

not sure if the numbers but if they did good numbers the main reason for that surely is Chris Eubank. Callum Smith is not exactly a household name . Imo it will do poor numbers
