No one has any input on how good both Besputin and Madiev are? Am I going to have to really make a thread about it?

 

Besputin is for real, damn hard-hitting prospect imo. Was an outstanding amateur, won a dozen national titles in Russia and various other international & european titles and medals. He beat 2016 Olympic gold medalist Daniyar Yeleussinov and bronze medalist Souleymane Cissokho at the amateurs.

He developed well as a pro so far. He is very aggressive and a coming forward type of a boxer with explosive shots, handspeed is as good as his movement and ring iq. His last performance vs Saul Corral was impressive.

I think he should easily win a wide decision, maybe he gets the stoppage but Sanchez is tough and experienced also on a good winning streak since losing to Luis Collazo in 2013.

I never saw Madiev tbh so i can not say anything apart from the same you could see at his boxrec profile lol

 

Good stuff f1ght3rz, I like getting peoples opinions on fighters before I watch tape. Personally it helps me accurately place fighters, getting an idea of what current fan perception is as opposed to what I personally might see when I sit down and watch tape, if that makes any sense. Expectations vs reality and all that.

I remember the Sanchez/Cano bout being dull, with Sanchez just using basic boxing to outmaneuver the lumbering Cano without anything too explosive ever happening.

Well Canelo off the meat, coming lite, presumably faster unfortunately less sturdier.
Got push to the rope and GGG unload.
GGG win wide but Vegas makes it close.

 

i'm not sure, i badly want GGG to introduce Canelo to the canvas for 10 seconds, but my gut is just screaming "Canelo Close UD" at me. His stamina issue is the only thing stopping me from officially making the pick
