Saw a lot of different scorecards in the Figueroa Jr/molina match so thought I’d watch myself. Figueroa Jr molina 10 9 Close 10 9 9 10 10 9 very Close 9 10 Close 9 10 10 9 9 10 9 10 Close 9 10 94 96 A fun fight it was to watch with bombs constantly being thrown. Felt like figeruoa showed good accuracy and inside worked wherea molina Jr landed the harder punches and seemed to fight better at a distance where he could land the jab and big right hands. Figeruoa did well switching stances to confuse molina Jr and land different shots from different angles and did nice work of inside using the hooks and working the body. Both showed great chins and hearts as both where caught with somebody great shots. Molina utilised the jab well and landed the better shots at a distance. Both had a good workrate but molina seemed to just do the better work in his rounds and catch my attention more. Overall figeruoa did the better inside work, went to the body well, landed some good combos and single shots, landed some nice hooks and right straights, showed decent speed and power, displayed good accuracy and showed some nice defence and head movement at times. Whereas molina had a good jab, landed some nice hard single shots throughout, Landed the better headshots, used the right hand well and landed some decent left hooks, showed a good workrate, boxed well at a longer range, showed good ring iq and experience. Close competitive but I had molina edging it. What scores did everyone else have?
97-93 Molina, yet another solid scorer like you gets it right, when so many got it wrong. Good card man.
Benavidez gavril l 10 9 9 10 9 10 close 10 9 10 9 10 9 Close 10 9 9 10 9 10 10 9 Close 10 9 9 10 114 113 Good fight to watch and one I’ve been wanting to score as it was benavidez’s hardest fight to date. Felt like benavidez landed the flashier and better combos and shots to the head whereas gavril did the better bodyqorknqhich helped For later on but benavidez did the better work earlier on average but the rounds were close but as the the fight wore on gavrils bodywork come into play and started slowing benavidez down and making it hard for him to throw as much and allowed gavril to take control. In the 10th benavidez got his second wind and took over but in he 12th gavril scored a shock kd to end the fight on a high but overall it was a case of benavidez starting well throwing those fast combos and establishing control but seemed hesitant at times where gavril worked the body and used the jab well to win a few rounds here and their at the beginning. Overall benavidez showed great speed and accuracy, nice shot selection utilising a variety of punches well, great combos and nice single shots especially to the head, decent jab when used, used his head movement well at times, showed good pressure, landed the better and harder shots and determination to walk gavril down at times and had a decently workrate with spurts of high punch output. Whereas gavril had a good jab, decent combinations and good shot accuracy, did some great bodywork Landing the jab and hooks throughout, mixed it up going both head and body well, showed good chin, good stamina and work rate, showed good boxing iq, boxed decently on outside and showed he can mix it near the top level. Overall a close fight but benavidez just edges it but I could see a close gavril win. What scores did everyone else have and what fights should I watch next?
Frampton Santa Cruz ll 9 10 9 10 10 9 Close 10 9 Close 9 10 9 10 Close 10 9 10 9 9 10 9 10 9 10 Close 10 9 113 115 A good second fight between these two it was. A much more tactical fight from Santa Cruz whereas frampton just wanted to keep on scrapping and banging it out more. The rounds where quite topsy turbo with momentum constantly swinging different ways. Both showed good heart and chins throughout. At 1st Santa Cruz used his jab to keep frampton at bay but as the fight went on frampton seemed to do abit better with it and getting on Santa cruz’s inside. But Santa Cruz used his better stamina and workrate to edge the later rounds and edge the fight. Overall frampton showed good hand speed and nice footwork to get on the inside of Santa Cruz, nice combinations to the head, as well as single shots, frampton showed nice defense and great headmovement to make Santa Cruz miss a lot of shots, showed great shot accuracy, nice hooks, fought well on inside, fought in spurts which helped him but allowed Santa Cruz to control some rounds and utilised the feinting throughout. Whereas Santa Cruz showed a good jab, decent hand speed, decent range management throughout, good footwork to get in and out of range, nice defense as well, good stamina and workrate throughout, was comfortable boxing on inside and outside, showed patience and threw some nice combos throughout. Overall a close fight but I had Santa Cruz edging it to make it 1-1 in this series. Have no problem with a draw tho or a wider Santa Cruz win. What scores did everyone else have?
My recent additions from some Canelo Alvarez fights that I keep hearing are controversial https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...-watch-today-scorecard-thread.186016/page-337
Srisaket Sor Rungvisai vs Hirofumi Mukai. This content is protected Round 1 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 2 - Rungvisai 10-8 Round 3 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 4 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 5 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 6 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 7 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 8 - Rungvisai 10-9 Round 9 - Rungvisai TKO Rungvisai has improved a lot since this fight. He doesn't cross his fight that much anymore, his head movement is better and overall has become a savvier boxer. Anyways the fight itself was pretty onesided for SRR. Mukai tried to fight fire with fire, but only resulted in him getting punished more and more until his corner threw the towel in round number nine.
Selby Warrington 9 10 9 10 10 9 9 10 Close 9 10 9 10 9 10 Close 10 9 9 10 9 10 9 10 9 10 110 118 A good fight to watch this was. Felt like throughout Warringtons pressure disrupted selbys rthymn throughout and made it hard for selby to get some momentum together. Warrington was able to constantly hurt selby where selby couldn’t hurt Warrington with everything he threw. Overall selby used the jab okay throughout, had some good accuracy and landed some decent combos, showed decent speed, showed good heart and chin and showed some good workrate even if it was ineffective at times. Whereas Warrington showed a decent jab, nice variety of punches, good accuracy speed and power, great pressure and aggression throughout, nice footwork to get on inside of selby, great workrate throughout, good defense and boxed well in inside. Overall a good fight but Warrington won comfortably. What scores didn’t everyone else? Need some more fight suggestions if anyone has any.
@f1ght3rz I'd really like to see your take on this fight. By the way, watch the last 5 rounds ridiculously closely, far less and I mean far less is landing that what appears to be. This content is protected
there wasn't a single round that Ward definitely won. that is why he looked like he won the lottery when they read the decision.
