How would you rate Tyson’s chin?
You can give different ratings for different times in his career if you wish.
Perhaps give it a score out of 10.

I would say either 7.5 or 8, not glass but not granite.

Lets say Chuvalo is a 10, Ali is a 9, Morrison is a 3 and Eric Crumble is a 1

I'd give Tyson a solid 7, anywhere 6.5-7.5. Similar to what I'd give to Joe Frazier and Jack Dempsey

Many people forget that early explosive knockouts + elusiveness is a good protector for a chin. Many overrate Tyson due to this and the Lewis fight, in which Lewis went somewhat easy on him

This. Although I'd like to here what you have to say about Louis's chin
    I'd give it a 6.5 and his recoupatorive powers a 10

    6.5 sounds about right

Im thinking Frazier is about a 7.5 as well, and Dempsey is a 7. Foreman is 9-9.5 and Marciano is 8.5-9. Vitali is a solid 9

I've always wanted to host a thread where i give fighters video-game-like stats

He took really hard shots from Lewis and Ruddock, and the only time I recall seeing him visibly rocked by a single punch, other than round one of the Lewis fight, was the first Bruno fight, and Bruno for all his flaws was a huge puncher. He seemed completely unbothered by Bonecrusher Smith (though Smith couldn't really hit him) and also had to take a thoroughgoing pasting from from Douglas to go down.

I'm going to guess his chin is a solid 9, just below Foreman, Chuvalo, McCall, or Mercer.

I'd happily do that Thread with you

Like stat cards and stuff, say Frazier would have a 10 for Heart and a 7.5 for Strength, whilst Lewis would have a 10 for ring IQ and a 4.5 for chin, just a few examples

Ali took amazing shots off Shavers, that`s a 10 without a doubt.

Frazier couldn`t have taken the shots Tyson took from Ruddock.

Ruddock had more one punch power than Foreman.

He was rocked by the only meaningful shot Smith landed in the 12th round and was also hurt in the 2nd round against Holyfield in their first bout.

Was knocked down and practically out on his feet after one left hook from Henry Cooper. No one who that has happened to should be rated 10. McCall who rarely even looked hurt let alone staggered or dropped is probably the closest to a 10.

I reckon had McCall fought Foreman that 10 chin would have been a 8 afterwards.
