I personally don't like Schwarz as an opponent and think putting the fight on PPV is short sighted because it obviously limits the audience. However, you or I don't know how many buys BT are satisfied with, nor how many it will retrieve for this particular fight. BT are no fools and while you keep assuming their PPV's are failing miserably, they appear happy enough to go at it again so they can't be losing much money, if any. Fury/Wilder done 700k buys I believe at 5am which would've been seen as huge numbers before AJ came along. Fury's popularity has grown since then so he may do enough numbers to break even here.

My assumption is BT simply want to sell enough buys to break even and pay Fury a decent lump, keeping them in the game for the big fights, whenever they arise. I don't believe it's impossible for them to achieve that.

Your double standards are there for all to see.

Where are you getting 700k buys for Fury Wilder from?

And can I have whatever it is you're smoking to think that figure is believable?

I saw the figure mentioned a couple of times on twitter but admittedly haven't heard it officially confirmed nor denied.

Why isn't it be believable? British boxing is booming and Fury/Wilder was a hot topic. A clash of two unbeaten heavyweight champions. Wilder gained great exposure off AJ's back and Fury's comeback got great media exposure. BT are a solid network and promoted the fight very well. I think 700k is realistic. Have you heard anything to suggest it didn't do 700k? Your only argument to suggest it failed miserably is BT not releasing figures. That's conjecture.

Not sure about the 700k buys on BT but it did 320k buys in the US excluding those who purchased it digitally and watched in bars. That makes it the biggest selling heavyweight fight since 2003...not bad...

Can see why they want to build the second fight, could easily double those numbers in the US with the right promotion and build up...Arum knows what he’s doing...

If it did 700k Warren would have screamed it from the rooftops from then until now.

There's no point having this discussion because it ends with you crying about being a successful father of three with a full time job again after I suggest if 700k is true Joshua will likely do three hundred billion against Ruiz.

I don't believe Warren would've shouted from the roof tops about 700k, when direct competitor Anthony Joshua does more than that fighting bums.

A very desperate last paragraph from yourself Tony. I thought you were better than that. I never claimed to be a succesful father of three. I pointed out the fact I'm a grown man when an idiot suggested I was a school child. But whatever makes you feel better....

Difficult to know but I think Warren would've been ecstatic at 700k and I'd expect them to be leaked and confirmed sooner rather than later, because they tell a very positive story for Fury. AJ does big numbers but he has never fought on US PPV at 5am in the morning.

For a guy who had two deeply unimpressive warm ups, with a disinterested Manchester crowd providing better fighting than that available in the ring followed by a booing recepetion in Belfast to rack up 700k on a relatively new PPV platform, with a lower subscriber base and reach than Sky? Impressive.

I would also say though that I'm surprised he's chosen to go and fight in the US if those numbers are accurate. Wilder at Wembley for the rematch could be feasible if that 700k number is true.

I'm not saying it's 100% true, but it's the only figure I saw and I can believe it for the reasons I mentioned in a previous post. If true, it has been leaked.....

All the top fighters are going to America, including Anthony Joshua. Warren stated he wanted Fury/Wilder rematch in wembley/old trafford but it's obvious Wilder isn't coming to the UK. Also, top rank made Fury an offer he couldn't refuse and they're now calling the shots.

700k plainly isn't realistic. Knocking on for three quarters of the total who bought Mayweather Hatton? No chance.

Tyson Fury fanboys always seem to get really, really wound up if you suggest Tyson isn't as popular as they think he is. I don't get it.

Fury Wilder done 400k worldwide they first said. They then said it done 320 US buys. So it done 80k UK buys.

That's your opinion and you have zero evidence to back it up. I disagree. I'd be surpised if it done less than 500k. There was a lot of hype about Wilder/Fury before the fight. I saw 700k mentioned more than once.

The only person getting wound up on this thread is you. You keep going off topic for some reason.

Do you really believe it done 80k buys? If Fury/Wilder done 80k buys, how many buys would Fury/Scwarz do? Come on. If Fury/Wilder done 80k, surely BT would never put Tyson on PPV again. Certainly not against Tom Schwarz. They must've been satisfied with their numbers to go again against a nobody.

Yeah I honestly do. Do you honestly believe if it done more Warren wouldn’t be shouting at the rooftops. Maybe because it done poorly BT are looking to take back in what they can?

I can't predict what Warren does or doesn't do. Or if he's allowed speak about such things or not. Ultimately, BT make those calls.

If Wilder/Fury done 80k, BT surely lost money. And if that's Fury's numbers for a superfight, they'll lose even more money against Schwarz. I highly doubt a succesful company like BT are that stupid.

Fury done over 500k v Klitschko when he was little known in comparison to today, in a fight he was given no chance, against a man deemed one of the most boring heavyweight champions of all time. There was a lot more hype for the Fury/Wilder fight so I believe it done similar, if not bigger numbers than Fury/Klit. I know Fury/Klit was on sky at primetime but it was a much less anticipated fight with a lot less hype.

    80k is miles more realistic.

Fury was booed out of the ring in Belfast and his fight against Klitschko was a shocker. Add to the fact that it's on BT, promotion for it was minimal (largely because BT have a much smaller audience, no Sky Sports News presence and Warren struggles to promote anyway) and it's at 5am and anyone suggesting it did 700k (when figures at the time for worldwide were hundreds of thousands less than that alone) is surely on crack.
