Wilder/Breazeale Post Fight: AJ is Scared, Wilder is Trash/Great. Who Hits Harder Dump Thread.

A fat an old James Toney was top 5 in the last era. He wouldn't crack the top 10 today.

Wilder did what you are meant to do against a can like Breazzele - star fished him in the opening round. What happened to Dommy would have happened to Sam Peters who was the WBC champ in the last era.

 

Wilder's right hand stands a chance and is an equalizer but I'd favor Joshua because AJ has a good distance control and compact punches, and is a very good counter puncher. I see him stepping back while Wilder is reaching out of balance and eventually catching him.

Wilder vs Breazeale kind of reminds me of Iron Mike vs Carl Williams in 89, we all gasped how great Mike was when he got that tko1 until he got his ass whupped just six months later. Don't believe the hype on Wilder, and btw Williams did not rock Mike like Breazeale did to Wilder.

 

Breazeale did manage to land a right hand that stopped Wilder for a bit. Wilder does not take a punch well at all. Breazeale is just to damn easy to hit and Wilder new it. I would say Joshua still beats Wilder. Joshua does not have a great chin but he is not that easy to hit. Lets face it Wilder lost to Fury and came damn close to being ktfo by Ortiz. I do not think the Joshua vs. Wilder fight will never be made. Wilder's padded record does not full me for one minute. I'm American and I hope Joshua knocks Wilder out because of his big mouth.

 

There was a reason why Wilder did a wee little piggy and ran all the way home when he was made to fight Povetkin..

Povetkin is a top boxer and I'd still back against Wilder today..

 

So Breazeales best wins are Negron and Izu.. those two wins take you in to the top 10.. really?

I know, I know.. but on Boxrec Negron is ranked 70th in the world and was knocked out by Mendoza 31-12-1 before Breazeale beat him.

Izu ranked 68th in then world on Boxrec has beaten who exactly? What are his best wins? Name somebody?..


It could be argued Dave Allen has a better win than both of those, is he top 10?

 

Maybe you should stop relying on current boxrec ratings and use your head. Izu was a very good win at the time it happened. His career has since been derailed. Since Breazeale logged that win in 2017, Ortiz, Miller, Povetkin, Pulev, Tyson Fury, Parker and Kownacki have not logged a better win between them, so what are you saying?

 

Nope, you're being disingenuous because I said.. "I know, I know".. Basically saying "yeah I know it's on Boxrec but.."

I only asked you to explain to me, because I don't understand, what makes either of those two names you mentioned "solid wins"?

What is Izu's best win? What is Negrons best win?

How are we suppose to judge either fighter if we don't look at their best wins and form at the time.

Like I said Negron had already been knocked out by a fighter 31-12-1 before he fought Breazeale and Izu was completely unproven, he just racked up a bunch of wins against journeymen or novices. Neither of those two were "solid" wins, they were just wins.


Izu has only beaten one unbeaten fighter, that was back in 2012 against a man 4-0.

Negron has beaten one unbeaten fighter, back in 2016, Gálvez who himself has zero notable wins and is now on Boxrec (yeah I'll use that again) ranked 626th in the world.

They are not good wins, they are just basic what I'd call "tick over" wins.

 

A better version of the same Breazeale that everybody gave AJ big props for stopping.

 

Joshua's 17th fight, Wilder's 42nd....there's levels to this bud.

Breazeale at least took a real risk against Izu and Negron was a standout am and knows how to box. Negron is better than that the guy he lost to. It happens sometimes at heavyweight.
