Well no, you can # tag all you want but its not going to change the FACT that that is not how undisputed works, at all.

The ring magazine belt has become worthless in the last 10 years, nobody cares about it at all.

When Wilder knocks Fury out it will likely end up being him vs Ruiz and the winner of that WILL be undisputed, but Ruiz will be the A Side and the fan favourite as he will be a mexican superstar.

Wilder also needs to make the fight ASAP as his age is quietly creeping up and is going to start tobecome a factor within the next couple years

Ruiz does what his puppet master Haymon tells him to do and Wilder will use him like a piñata. The other belts are meaningless green gold is all that counts in the heavyweight division today. People trying to argue Joshua's worth right now is laughable. His worth at this moment is getting slapped silly by the Pillsbury doughboy. Lets talk figures AFTER December 7th.

Stock down but about to partake in the highest grossing fight on the heavyweight scene for how long? He might have an L but he’s still by far the biggest draw in the division. This fight with Ruiz is doing 6/7 times that of Wilder v Fury. And if they have a rematch it still won’t come near it.

If they want the biggest payday they can possibly get then Wilder and Fury very much do need Joshua.

Not right now Tone, he has no belts and a big fat L on his forehead. Lets talk after December 7th because right now your boy is worthless.

I don’t know if you’re just pretending to be stupid or just genuinely affected with the condition, but Joshua’s ‘big fat L’ doesn’t seem to have done much to his pulling power from a financial perspective.

I don’t think you’re oblivious to the fact that boxing isn’t like most sports whereby earnings are dictated by ability. Joshua might not be the best heavyweight around, but there’s absolutely no argument that he’s the most popular and therefore top of the financial pile.

He needs to win Tone, otherwise your whole life becomes pointless. #December7

    Umm
A certain welterweight would lead you to believe otherwise

I wasn’t even that bothered when he lost last time out so I’m sure I’ll struggle on. There will always be big punching exciting heavyweights to keep me interested in the sport.

I agree in a sense that it will be interesting to see what happens if he loses again. He’s not particularly old, and there’s still massive money to be made. I could genuinely see the line being taken that Ruiz is just some sort of bogeyman for Joshua, and next up we get Joshua v someone like Chisora. His popularity could dip but I don’t see too much evidence of that. Come fight night people will be interested.

Teddy Atlas said on his podcast this week that Wilder is the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time.

That’s some praise that. He does love his past greats so I was shocked to hear that.

I think Wilder is the hardest puncher in boxing history. He has appaling accuracy, poor technique and sub par co-ordination.

He seems to have a decent enough chin though, and he has good athleticism and stamina.

I think Wilder is fortunate to be in the era he is in. In the 90s he would have ended up a contender to a Lennox Lewis or someone and hes so far behind a guy like that in terms of technique that he would have got cleaned out pretty bad. I also think Wilder is a guy who will be finished career wise if/once he gets stopped, if the guy becomes hesitant to let the right go out of fear of a counter, he will become very ineffective.

You see it often with punchers, once they get cracked themselves the party is over. Not really anyone around right now to do it though.

So in summary, hardest puncher ever, but not the best fighter ever, not by a long shot.

I dont think anybody even contemplated Wilder a great boxer. We all know what he is and that makes him an intriguing watch. The heavies are very basic and if you do 1 thing exceptionally well it can be enough to stand out.

It will be good to have Joshua back at the O2 it's a much better venue for boxing.

It’s a tough one. He’s not exactly fighting the best of the current crop constantly, which itself isn’t the greatest generation of heavyweights but I just wouldn’t back anyone against him with confidence. I’ve said before but only people I think can beat him are Joshua and Dubois and they just need to blast him out early, would I back them with confidence? No. Maybe Povetkin with his left hooks but even less confident. Usyk a good possibility too.
