I've just bumped and revived a good few threads on the general forum where Kownacki was hyped and thought to beat Wilder even by a fair few

 

I agree with everything. And whilst I'm proud Britain is on top, it's on top of a shambles. But I'd rather be on top of a shambles than at the bottom.

 

I don't think the current heavyweights are THAT bad. People often romanticize previous generations of boxers. It's just massive people are generally not as good at boxing. A lot of the current cruiserweights would have been heavyweights in the past and we seem to think it's a pretty talented division.

Fury gives anyone in history a decent or arkward fight, as would Wladimir.

For all Joshua's weaknesses he's still pretty good. Wilder too for his many flaws is packing a sledgehammer.

I think general contender types from the 80s to 90s have been grossly overrated compared to the current crop of Whyte, Povetkin etc.
