Tyson Fury compares his power to heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua

The Slick Gypsy Style isn't the most effective fighting combat sports fighting style for no reason. To say Fury hits harder than AJ is a precisely, factually and semantically correct statement and no one of sane mind will try and argue otherwise or get taking seriously by anyone else of sane mind if they do.

The big difference between Fury (aka the GOAT) and AJ is Fury is just as adept at doing AJ (fighting on the front foot and bashing you up) as he is fighting on the back foot and taking you to slick school, whereas if AJ tried to employ the Slick Gypsy Style it would resemble Herman Munster attempting to do ballet.

And before some clueless casual brings up AJ boxing on the back foot against Fat Andy in their rematch. Backpedaling around the ring at breakneck speed from a walking blob in mortal fear of getting clipped by the wind of a punch is not slick boxing, let alone the Slick Gypsy Style.

To be fair to AJ, this isn't really a knock on him because the superior Slick Gypsy Style is nigh on impossible for any non gypsy to master and when AJ is boxing on the front foot and letting those hands fly he can look almost Brit Level at times.

 

Thanks. Yes the Slick Gypsy Style is the benchmark all forms of slickness are measured by and the most proficient practitioners of it like Fury are practically unbeatable.

 

Anything can happen in boxing so I wouldn't completely rule it out even though it's extremely unlikely and even real fighting men aka gypsies can be beaten if they're ill-prepared, ill or carrying an injury.

 

Only another slick gypsy can defeat Tyson Fury and even then they'll have to wait until he's old and grey to do so
