Obviously rocky isn't even close to good enough to beat Liston but neither was Williams. Can marciano beat the bigger quicker fighter?

There certainly is an argument. I would slightly favor Liston but there’s certainly a case for Marciano. If they fought ten times I wouldn’t be surprised if Marciano won four of them. But this threads been done to death. All there to read.

This. Liston was strong, but had several flaws that Marciano would’ve exploited and this was even more true for Williams. Liston had a bad habit of overthrowing his jab and that bad habit would work against him in a fight with Marciano, so Liston definitely wouldn’t have an easy time with Marciano. Williams on the otherhand relied too much on his power and stood square too much.

I would favor Rocky Marciano to win by knockout at some point. Williams would be a tough challenge though. He competed against a lot of good men and had a fair amount of power and size for the era he fought in.
I'm sure Marciano would have no problem. Williams got knocked out by Satterfield in three, Liston in two and three, Ali in three. Cleveland's claim to fame aren't his wins, it's that people "who destroyed him" said he hit hard. Big difference. I'm sure Rocky would say Cleveland hit hard, too, as they are reviving Cleveland in the corner.

Williams was a 20 year old kid, who'd been boxing for only a year, and had taken the fight on a 2 day notice. Only person who stopped a prime Williams. Marciano is nowhere near that level. Williams was on the comeback trail from a near-fatal gunshot wound that resulted in permanent damage, and he was quite clearly a shell of himself. Quite interesting, you say that. As you were the one to document, testimonies of Wlliams' power while defending him. You also bought up a sparring account of Williams knocking out Baker. With the exception of Liston none of the above men "destroyed" Williams Fixed it for you.
