I just did. He fought bums. If another heavyweight with power fought almost all bums, he would look amazing too. This is not rocket science. If the Lakers only played the bad teams in the NBA and they went undefeated, then are they the best team ever? No, not by a long shot.

Fighting guys with rhabdomyolysis and severe high blood pressure..fighting part-time school teachers...having friends take dives...

    There are ways.[/QUOTE]
I don't think so! Why haven't these so called bums been knocked out before like Wilder did? Not arguing the level of opposition, but these guys have never been stopped in the manner Wilder stopped them. Obviously these guys fought better men than Wilder.

You make no sense. The OP is saying Wilder's power is overrated, meaning, it's not as good as fans say. Now in your response to me, you say if other fighters had power like Wilder they would look great too. So, in your opinion, does Wilder have power or not?

No one believes his power is overrated. He's an extremely hard puncher. He's shown power with short, long, flush and glancing blows. Is he the hardest hitter ever? Nah.............Is he a legit banger? Yah.......

This is such a stupid post I can't even justify it with a proper response. Only worthy of mockery.

The way Wilders "power" is touted on here you'd think he'd KOed Chuvalo, McCall, Foreman, V. Klitschko, and Holyfield within the first 5 rounds.

Stiverne caught him perfectly as he was winding up a massive punch, not surprised.
Why would he pick Duhaupas, Breazeale, Ortiz, Stiverne or Arreola if he wanted guys who can't take a punch and can't punch hard themselves? They may not be the best but they're all durable and at least pretty hard hitters. Washington and Szpilka fall into that bracket but they're the minority of his title defences.

Don't be flattered when it's Zakman, who thinks a chin is either made of glass or granite with no in between.

Ortiz can take a punch, Wilder just hits hard. Your excuse that Ortiz lost his durability in the amateurs in completely unfounded and based on speculation driven by a clearly intense dislike of Wilder.

Stiverne was stopped by Demetrice King, which Wilder couldn't do in their first fight when he had rhabdomyolysis.

Molina was stopped by Ashanti Jordan.

And on and on. We did all of this in my thread about how he hits about as hard as Fury. Wilder does not have a single really impressive stoppage.

I'm guessing when you say impressive you mean a ko against a top guy, because Braezeal, Szplika and Liakhovic were pretty brutal.

Szpilka is a chinny cruiser who had previously been stopped by light-hitting Jennings. He has been stopped twice since. There is nothing impressive about it.It is more hype.

I am not even going to dignify the Liakovich comment, and that fight was as fake as the Scott fight.

Brazeale...meh. It is all right, but Joshua already busted that chin.
