Someone must have addressed this on here before. It's something I noticed in his first fights and thought nothing of it more than being a quirk or a nervous twitch. Just watched a replay of the Wach fight, and Christ Almighty, it's gotten downright distracting, even affecting his corner being able to work on him. What's the deal with this? Is it neurological?
It's actually started to concern me now as it seems to be getting worse. It immediately goes into overdrive as soon as the ref calls a break in the action or as soon as the bell for the end of the round rings. He manages to keep it under control remarkably during the action but it's obviously something which takes a lot of concentration for him to do so and that's a worry.
Fury does the same thing and the nose swipe Its a tic, semi voluntary. urge to do something. like a scratch. bad habit. its a mental issue.
He’s either got a neck problem, nervous condition, or it’s an over exaggerated Mike Tyson impersonation.
Reminds me of how Von Kaiser from Punch-Out shakes his head before he punches. This content is protected
Yep, been wondering a while. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...aldo-landaeta-rbr.673951/page-3#post-21276294
I used to think it was a Tyson impersonation too - part of an act to make him look like an unstable nutcase to intimidats opponents - but I'm now of the belief that it's neurological or he has some extreme tinnitus or something and spazzing his head like he has rabies alleviates some of the symptoms.
