Was Whyte fully fit for this fight?

    It wasn't Fury's best shot either.

    He went for speed over power there...the shot was there to be taken and he took it quickly.

    If he had planted better and swing from a bit further back, the window might have closed, so he took it when it was there.

    And given the effect it had on Whyte (***** Street), I believe a full-on, legs bent and feet planted, full amplitude swing uppercut would have had Dillian leaving on a stretcher.

    Maybe to the morgue.

    Yes, given that he lost every round up till the stoppage, he might be deluding himself a bit there.

    It may be just as well that Fury chose to nudge Whyte over instead of taking the free shot that was on offer.

    Watching the re-play today Fury's shot didn't land fully clean either, it was partially glancing. Had it landed flush I think Whyte would have been more comotosed and proper out cold, similar to Povetkin's peach of a punch.
