Because his fans are saying that he is way better than anyone else in that division. Because his fans are saying that he will KO Bud. So what's the problem ? No need for controversial decision/close fight/robbery.
The timing and accuracy is what sets Crawford apart. That's why he is able to handle faster fighters. Spence needs to take TC out before TC gets Spence's timing down. I think TC's check hook will be the difference maker in the fight.
I'm thinking that most commentators aren't giving Spence much of a chance against Crawford, who is being built up to be an ATG monster; why, I don't know. The level of his competition is much lower than Spences' for example. Guys like Atlas wax poetical about Crawford. Well, let's see.
So because of what his fans think? Aren't Crawfords fans saying similar things about Crawford? That is extremely childish logic.
I get why Crawford is viewed highly, and IMO he deserves it. I just think media get WOW'd by certain things and seem to discount other things. Often times when elite fight elite, those things people WOW over aren't as prominent.
Yea, I love Spence and think Crawford is crazy overrated, but the damage Spence took is starting to show in the ring. I think it’s becoming a conversation of whether or not Spence might have to take an early retirement
Yeah I agree I think Spence will win. It won't be some landslide win I don't think and certainly he will lose rounds. I see it going to the cards and I think Crawford lands some clean punches but I really feel we are gonna see Terrence react unfavourably to the body attack and I think it will be shown in the scorecards. Just my opinion of course.
Spence will apply constant & consistent pressure In order to methodically break Bud down. i fully expect Bud to catch him coming in a couple of times with some absolutely nasty counter combos. How Spence takes those shots & holds up to them as well if he can respond will determine who wins. I got Spence by decision with a live dawg chance of Bud ending the night with a TKO. 50/50
The total complete breakdown about Crawford being overrated seems to slip past most Spence fans. OK, you say he is overrated, fine I won't debate that. Part of what it means is Crawford hasn't been through tough fights like Spence. Tough fights take something out of a boxer and every boxer leaves the ring with less of themselves than they entered with. Spence has been through tougher battles against a younger Porter, twelve rounds and Kell Brook, eleven rounds. Crawford fought lesser versions of those guys and stopped both earlier than Spence so he suffered less sustained damage from his best opponents. Then you have the car wreck combined with the lapse in reaction and awareness after both Garcia and Ugas landed in him. Crawford may be overrated but Spence is more damaged.
It's just his age really. I thought he looked just a pinch slower against Porter too. Neither of them has looked bad or shot yet by any means.
Prime Spence beats Prime Crawford Sure Crawford has better boxing craft with his level of nuance but Spence overcomes it his physical advantages. It's a close fight especially early doors with Crawford probably pulling ahead. Not sure where it stands now though.
