Uysk should’ve accepted the fight in December.

Arum and Warren said that the fight with Usyk would be early in the 2023.

All the BS from Fury was to save his face and to make others look bad, usual stuff from the dirty fighter and fraud

Provided that Fury doesn't go into "depression" again.

"with me and chisora you know what you're gonna get - a good fight!"

*cut to the crowd boo'ing during their previous fights*

Long time ago somewhat irrelevant, both totally different fighters now.

It's been confirmed that Usyk is going to be ringside on Saturday, will be interesting to see if he shows some bottle and gets in the ring with Fury after the fight.

Usyk just trying to delay the inevitable.

He knows it's going to end in him being stopped this one and is terrified.

Warren, Arum and Klimas all confirmed that there were discussions for the bout to take place in December, as I've proved with direct quotes in multiple threads. Usyk ruled that out in his September 2 media conference, leaving spring of 2023 as the next feasible juncture. Fury can't be blamed for not wanting to be out of the ring for more than eight months, and he's selected an opponent who poses a low risk of either outright derailing the Usyk bout or requiring him to take extended recovery.

    You people are unreasonable boors.

It's a bit mad isn't it, people lose the plot because he's not fighting Usyk despite even Usyk's team confirming that Usyk couldn't fight in December.....

    This is basically it.

I don't understand people. Fair enough moaning about the PPV price, and it being on PPV (although that's never a problem to me as there are other legal ways to watch PPVs such as social clubs) but I don't see the problem with Fury having a tick over.

It's another exhibit of evidence that "haters" is an apt term in Fury's case and not merely the bitter recrimination of fanboys who can't tolerate any criticism of a fighter.

Fury deserves a small amount of credit for having 2 fights in a single calendar year. Its only Chisora but at least he's active. I just dont buy the "he should wait around until Usyk is ready" argument.

If he fights Usyk in March it'll be 3 fights in 12 months. Unheard of for a modern heavyweight!

I think a lot of the criticism, at least from the better posters here, is about attempts to pretend that Chisora III is actually a good fight in its own right:

Your description of "an opponent who poses a low risk of either outright derailing the Usyk bout or requiring him to take extended recovery" is exactly correct, and I don't have a problem with that excepting PPV/price.

Not common for sure. I'm convinced that it gives Fury the best chance to be in top form as well. 3 camps in 12 months allows for him to be peak Fury for the biggest fight of his life.

@Thunderstorm and @GotchaHat are obviously just spinning and trolling for kicks, it's their schtick. @miniq is taking a shot at the contemporaneous perception that Whyte was a significant threat to Fury more than anything. @Redbeard7 enjoys shooting the bull and will sometimes play devil's advocate for the sake of discussion.

The "criticism" is couched in unmistakable, irrational degrees of bitterness and contempt, which would be the case whether those guys were making threads or not. Fury is the object of their scorn, not the handful of characters on a forum who take it in the neck for him.
