I think win over benitez winning 2 of 3 vs Duran plus wins over Davey Green and his title wins at 175 and 154 plus his amateur career he probably still gets into the hall of Fame but he's not considered an atg. People would probably also discuss how good he looked in wins over good fighters and how close he made it vs hearns and Hagler.

In a weird way, I think he'd be more liked and complimented on this forum

    complete hogwash

no serious offer would be given at $750 K

seriously, if you held a championship and were offered a take it or leave it $750 K, you wouldnt take it

It's just a face saving tactic to duck out of it

Even when video is displayed right here on the forum, fans will lie find a way to spread misinformation "He offered to fight Pryor but Pryor wasnt interested "

and my opinion is based on more than just bias, it is based on the youtube video that painstakingly counted the scoring blows of each man for each round with the greatest number of rounds going to the true winner- Hagler

thus I can rightfully say, his true record is 35 - 5

the definitive proof of the true winner

why take the word of some biased fan when there is actual proof?

"your ¨ẗrue record" doesnt matter its just your opinion " :nonono

Again the official decision was for Leonard, again your so called record doesnt matter. 36-3-1 is the record, get over yourself. No one cares how you think his record should be its your opinion and not a fact. Leonard won, nothing changes that.

    Oh they'd still be spiteful!!!!

But personally i feel his stocks rose more with the win he had than they would have if the decision slipped the other way. It's a miracle win.

Hew would still be irrefutably be considered an ATG without any shadow of a doubt about it.

You've also missed his first win over Hearns in your summation.

I have to give it up to Ray for his victories over Benitez and Hearns, they were terrific!

Ray wouldn't have been hurt at all legacy-wise if he "officially" lost to Hagler.

I LOVE Leonard, but I never scored the Hagler fight anything less than two points for Hagler. Ray looked really good early.

Don't forget he doesn't actually have Hearns x 2 as the second bout, officially, was a draw.

I had Thomas ahead by two in the second fight.

What if Hagler had lost to Antuofermo rather than getting a draw?

And then lost to Minter if he got another shot?

What if he lost ALL his fights?

I don’t get the point of this exercise.

It's not how I think, it's reality; Leonard was outpointed which the video proved once and for all

the public wanted to know who REALLY won, and that's why this video was made.

Leonard fans dont want to know. they're scared and want to continue saying things like "the official decision was for Leonard, and that's all that matters "

they dont want to hear anything like "Leonard lost to Hagler". they like living a fantasy but fans with integrity do want to know and the fact is.....

The Hagler fans were right all along.

    Leonard's real record is 35 - 5

I honestly find it easier to just accept what has happened instead of live in delusions that make me more comfortable. Had dreams that Tyson got his revenge against Holyfield n Douglas but thats what video games r for, in reality Tyson got his ass kicked w no redemption towards them.

As much as I wanted Hagler to get the decision against Leonard, he didn't. It's fine that's just life sum things just didn't or don't happen how u like. I am more upset that Hagler let rds go which was foolish of him.

I also don't understand why ppl can't just like two fighters or just give credit to the victor who clearly beat ur fighter. I understand robberies but if ur fighter lost fair n square, I promise u they dont need ur excuses. Ur not even getting paid by them to stan lmfao.

Yes I favor Hagler significantly but I respect SRL for even getting in there w him in the first place w him as he was past prime n not a true MW. As I get older I'm putting more of the accountability on Hagler for a bad strategy n SRL just had a better one. Plus SRL is my hometown hero anyways so it's still a win 4 me lol.

His record is 36-3-1 except in the minds of fantasy. His record wont change because you say so, thats the reality.
