Yarde not getting knocked out should shock everyone. Can’t see this ending any other way.

You paint a potentially plausible scenario and like I said earlier Father Time is undefeated. I don’t know what will happen especially as I had always envisaged my guy Bivol being the one to beat King Artur however tonight is a real banana skin. Perhaps there is something in Tunde Ajayi’s System 9, I really don’t know. Tonight is intriguing we shall all be anticipating it.

That is the conventional wisdom but will it play out like that.

Yes these intangibles put us on edge and can put the fight in the balance.

The only real intrigue here is due to Yarde being just heavy-handed enough to put Beterbiev's glass cannon status into play.

There is an enormous gulf in skill & power in the Beast's favor, and smart money is on him demolishing the not terribly hard to find Yarde.

That said, it won't be some unthinkable mind-blowing development if a mistake is made and Yarde capitalizes on the champ getting hurt.

Those less important advantages that Yarde has (better chin and more athletic) don't make him anywhere near a favorite, but they do prevent this from being a sure thing.

I'm picking Yarde to uncork a desperate haymaker that will drop Beterbiev hard and have him badly hurt. Beterbiev's getting up there in age and this could be the night he loses a touch in response time.

It's a possibility, but the overwhelming probability is that Yarde gets thrashed. I wouldn't risk on a dime on him unless the odds were like double what they are.

Yeah, but didn't Tszyu only have like 3 maybe 4 rounds in a period of 27 months or something like that, before the Hatton fight?

It's more an ominous feels prediction than anything. Plus Beterbiev's advance age.

Yarde will show his true level here and look completely lost until he crumbles.

This is his cash out fight.

My original poll thread from when this was scheduled to happen last October reflects their respective percentage chances fairly well:

Artur Asilbekovich Beterbiev vs. Anthony Dwayne Duncan Yarde

66 votes for Beterbiev by stoppage to 7 for Yarde by stoppage. (That is, 90.5% to 9.5%)

Zero for any points outcome. :sisi1
