4 year Anniversary of Pac beating One Time

Great fight too.

 

Jesus, that means it's been two years since I finally caught up on it and made this standalone RBR:

Feels like it was two weeks ago. Tempus fugit.

 

Legendary moment in boxing. Pac should have retired after that fight and rode off into the sunset. There was no need for him to continue on after beating Thurman.

 

I thoroughly enjoyed and still enjoy watching that knockdown. It almost has a comical tone to it. Run Time backing up with his hands down thinking the exchange is over and then Pacquiao landing a perfectly placed punch and Thurman falling straight back. It almost looked fake.

 

Im not a fan of Pacquiao, he beat all of my favorite fighters and i believe he had an unfair PED advantage over some of them.

But that was one of the most impressive victories in history considering the circumstances and he is one of the greatest fighters of all time regardless of what he took.

I dont want to hear anything about Floyd, hes just as guilty in my eyes

 

A guy like Pac was always going out on a loss. We are lucky it happened with a 9-3 boring ud rather than a brutal Spence beatdown.

 

Pac was doing great till age caught up and Thurman took over in the second half. It was the bodyshot in the 10th? (which the commentators missed) that won him the fight in the end.

That seems to be the case with most great fighters unfortunately, fighters who don't know when to call it quits.

I still kind of wished we got to see how Pac would have looked against Spence had Spence not backed out at the last minute. Pac was looking fired up and ready for Spence during his training camp but was totally thrown off by a different fighter in Ugas, I'm sure he was really prepared for Spence's style. I think Spence was fortunate that the damage to his eye was detected because there's no doubt that Pac could have possibly cause a career ending injury on him win or lose. Although you can also argue that Spence may still have been too big and powerful for Pac and could very well have beaten him as well.

 

Even if Spence got thru PAC n the fight he would have left with no eye after n there wouldn't even be a tbud fight it wasn't pacman who got the blessing from up above nstead he overtrained and was out for those 2 yrs.

He did great in rd8,9,10 parts of 11 & 12 even when slowing down.

 

Spence ducked Pac. He got beaten up in sparring by a small southpaw and said nope.

 

I dont know he looked old overnight to me. Bounce from his feet was gone amd he couldnt pull the trigger. But even if he beats Spence he would continue till he got a bad beatdown. Didnt want to see hik go out like bhop or ali.

 

Yer they running with tha narrative that PAC was losing all rdz from the 7th......yeh No
