Had it been stopped rd 9, then there'd be nonstop debate on whether it was an early stoppage for a HW championship fight with all the belts on the line. You stop the fight to save amateurs still on their feet from really getting hurt like Conor Mcgregor but not a HW champ still on his feet.

Furys way more over the hill than Usyk is.

Don't think any version of Fury beats Usyk mind. 2015 vintage has the best chance.

Yes he lost his dignity in that post fight interview, he must have read Wilder's HOW NOT to be magnanimius in defeat book of shame.

He wasn’t robbed though. I personally had Fury knicking it as I thought he took a few close rounds. He dominated from 4-7 and looked like he was going to cruise to victory, but credit to Usyk for his comeback.

It will be interesting if they ask Fury for his “recollections” of round 9 - if the ref had duly stopped the fight, I believe Fury would not have protested - he didn’t know if he was Arthur or Martha but he did look like he wanted the barrage of punches to stop....

I enjoyed that, ref and judging corruption even influence the decision, worth noting that they were trying though. The ref gave him a chance should have let him get folded, not give a standing.
Don’t see how any ref could possibly give fury a 114 to 113, or even give it to usyk by the same margin on the other card.
Corruption was at work, but luckily so was usyk. Atg status achieved

Never knew IM put this out ! TBH was never a big heavy metal fan. Although I've very much liked Rammstein, which has metal overtones.
I am a big history buff so well aware of that Alex's accomplishments.

I had reasons to pull for Usyk & Fury, so I was hoping for a competitive, entertaining fight where no one was hurt bad.
Props to Usyk, and I got what I wanted !

I scored the fight for Usyk, 7-5 rounds, 115-112 points. I gave Usyk the first two rounds, Fury the next five rounds, and Usyk the final five rounds. The 9th round was 10-8 Usyk bc of the knockdown. I happened to have the exact same round-by-round scoring as DAZN commentator Chris Mannix. I thought the closest, most debatable round was the 3rd, which I gave to Fury. I thought the only other debatable round was the 11th, which I was going to give to Usyk anyway, and then he secured it by landing the single hardest punch of the round right before the bell. The three official judges agreed on 8 of the 12 rounds, those being the 1st, the 5th through the 10th, and the 12th. Of those eight rounds, I only disagreed with the 12th, which they gave to Fury, and I gave to Usyk. I have had mixed feelings about referee Mark Nelson in the past, but tonight I thought he was decent, if a bit slow to break the fighters in the relatively few times that Fury tried to clinch and put his weight on Usyk (as he did innumerable times in the second Wilder fight). Fury also landed a few low blows that were not admonished by Nelson. Maybe most importantly, Nelson should have called the 9th round knockdown when Usyk's punches bounced Fury off the ropes, bc Fury was clearly held up by those ropes, but Nelson did not call the knockdown until Usyk had landed another 6-7 hard punches to the head and Fury was sinking down along the blue corner post. Fury stood himself up straight by the count of 2, and Nelson was correct not to stop the fight then, especially has Fury has legendary recuperative powers (see Round 12 of the first Wilder fight). Fury was competitive in the final two rounds, but I wonder how much residual damage those extra 6-7 punches caused him. As the final scorecards were being read, and Buffer was announcing the winner was from "Ukraine", for a split second I thought I heard "UK" and that Usyk had been robbed just like Ngannou was. But thankfully Usyk was rightfully declared the winner, although it should have been by unanimous decision. I am looking forward to the rematch, but I would be surprised if it happens as soon as October, as is apparently designated in the contract.

    He's very prolly good.

The long time spunk stained TF posters will have been removed from walls and ceilings and he'll just go after some new meat.

Trust me, our Miniq will be back to full grace...

    Unlike TF....;)

Well It hurts but I have to concede that usyk is now clearly the p4p fighter on the planet, Crawford is still my dog though.
