1) I said that he doesn't have the best resume 2) Cruiserweight is a joke division 3) Bivol lost to an old Beterbiev and I do maintain that a prime Beterbiev would beat Bivol by knock out When did I ever say that Zepeda was as good as Beterbiev
So let me get this straight... A brilliant relentless P4P pressure fighter like Beterbiev landed on Bivol 137 times in the first fight and 121 times in the rematch. Who cares! A massive P4P undefeated behemoth like Fury landed on Usyk 157 times in the first match and 144 times in the rematch. Who gives a ****! Not impressed! While guys like Nery landed 54, Cardenas landed 80, Doheny landed 52 and Tapales landed 52 shots on Inoue. Which in 4 fights is 238 shots in total. Whatever! But Shakur, a guy you think is a defensive whiz, being in against a guy that everyone said he'd dominate with ease, choosing to lay on the ropes and get tagged with a massive career high number of 272 shots against William Zepeda, has you creaming in your pants and convinced that he's the best fighter in the world. You my friend, are a biased beyond belief ****ing moron.
After Crawford and Usyk retire Bivol currently has the best case for pfp number 1. Then Inoway very very close at 2. But yeah Stevenson and Ennis because of their youth are going to be climbing up the list rapidly. Stevenson is the last man standing basically after Ryan, Devin, Tank, Teofimo all kind of slipped in their own way.
If only more Americans passed on NFL and basketball like Stevenson! But unfortunately all the biggest talent is still getting lost in these other places.
Most naturally gifted? Arguably yes. He's fast & fluid, smart, has great shot selection, and is highly elusive. But best boxer on the planet? Although I was impressed with his showing against Zepeda, it's way too premature to say he's best. As other's have noted Zepeda doesn't have as many facets to his game and is a bit one-dimensional, and isn't the biggest puncher. Not a fan of triangle theories but Zepeda|Farmer|Schofield does raise some questions on how hard Zepeda hits. How will Shakur deal with a heavy handed hard hitter that connects like that Zepeda jab that clearly wobbled him, but with a hook or cross? How does he deal with a fighter with better shot selection and timing that can nullify his shoulder-roll defence? He showed plenty against Zepeda, but still plenty more questions to be answered!
Look at the prediction thread a year ago. Makes for VERY FUNNY READING lol https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/shakur-vs-william-zepeda.723223/
Pretty bad post by you Zepeda threw almost 1000 punches and barely ever landed anything clean Compubox doesn't work on boxing most of the time because boxing isn't a numbers sport
