Joshua is back! What a killer!

 

It's very satisfying when he hits home. His shots have a very visible sense of weight to them and an aesthetically clean technique, too. Not as explosive as a Wilder, for example, but AJ's punches look heavier and are usually a lot tidier.

I like Dubois's right hand better, more explosive and thudding at the same time it seems

His biggest mistake was ever trying to become more of a boxer in the boxer-puncher style he had the most success with.

 

His biggest problem was overthinking and trying to rewrite the script when he could have just added some subtle layers instead.

 

His biggest problem was trying to appease a sub-section of UK boxing fans, who would never embrace him for certain... immutable characteristics:

Joshua buzzed him right before he was finished himself. I actually think Dubois even now has a worse chin than AJ does. He just caught AJ(who admittedly is chinny himself) cold early and he never really recovered. I don't think Dubois would have been able to eat his own shots as well and as long as AJ did in their fight. a slightly fresher AJ probably wins that one and I'm not sure he wouldn't win a rematch.

 

The UK has a long and storied history of tearing down those who rise to the top. Everyone from our shores knows this. It's ingrained in the culture.

Certain groups are targets more than other, though, and especially if they start expressing opinions outside the status quo

It was very clean. I'm kind of surprised at how many meme's are being made of the Paul KO. Collective schadenfreude

I'm still not sure if it was entirely scripted. If that was scripted, it was definitely one of those "would you fight a former heavyweight champion for $50m?" moments, and Paul said "I'm in."

 

So Dubois got caught early by a "roided up" (Lerena's been caught for using) cruiser with quite good hand speed and then took two subsequent knees due to injuring his knee, and that means he's got a glass chin? It's heavyweight Boxing with 230+ lb men, it happens.

Watching highlights from the Huni - Lerena fight and it was a pretty good technical match... Lerena was about KO Huni later in the fight too.

Dubois took Miller's, Hrgovic's and AJ's shots just fine without going down. Even in the last Usyk fight he absorbed some bombs before getting his lights shut out (momentarily). Dubois's defence on the other hand is not his best asset.

AJ looked terrified of Dubois imo, and that was probably because Dubois battered him in sparring back in 2016. Dubois has definitely got AJ's number.
