He obviously hits extremely hard. Does he possess quite the calibre of one shot power the likes Wlad or The Dosser possessed? Not quite but that doesn't mean he still doesn't hit extremely hard

He's a giant of a man, 240-250lbs of ripped muscle, has a KO 89%, has stopped 26 of his 29 victims, has dropped every man he's fought sans Usyk who has never been down or lost, J-Park, Franklin, Dubois, and Wallin the later of whom was spared from getting KTFO by his corner who pulled him out

Problem with joshua is that he should have not been trained to be a boxer puncher and just to go and brawl with more head movement. the way he knocked down wladimir in the 5th round was crazy good and rob mccracken should have saw what he was capable of with that but joshua got mentally destroyed in that fight and was never the same.

Oh, I actually thought you were more referring to the fact I put Zhang in with Tyson, not the other way around. :) Late reply I know.

By the way dude, you had me freaked out when I saw in my alerts that 99 other users had quoted my post. I assume that's why you called yourself that? Hahaha.

    That was my mischievious intention.

I truly consider Zhang to be an ATG power puncher. The way he destroyed Joyce was a marvel, though I admit I rate his chin more off the eye test than his CV. Never really fought a puncher other than DuBois, and by all accounts he fought cautiously then. Still, I have never really seen a heavyweight shrug off punches like he used to - that is, before Zhang. Was like a super heavyweight Golovkin.

Agreed. Zhang is limited but he cracked Joyce’s iron chin.

He may need a cumbersome opponent to demonstrate it but for me has the heaviest hands by some distance in todays game

His stamina is atrocious, but other than that he is an accomplished boxer. Very fast hands for his size.

Makes you wonder why he didn't take a competitive fight until so old.

That Forrest (?) draw and the health issues that followed it set him back but that fight was like when he was in his late 30s, if I am not mistaken. Not to mention Forrest being a journeyman himself.

Was he just too difficult to promote?

Why is it that people can't give Joshua credit for anything? No, he's not the best of all time or close to it but he still has clear skills and natural abilities. One of those is serious punching power. He hits extremely hard and that's undeniable.

    Agreed.

    Loads of evidence out there.

Look at how quickly he got wily, slick Kevin Johnson out of there. Did he not go the distance with DuBois like 5 years later?

I also distinctly remember Wallin losing his soul pretty much the moment Joshua start landing punches on him. Sure did not do that against a desparate Fury looking for a stoppage.

Idk man I think AJ hits pretty damn hard. Not as hard as Zhang or Wilder or smth but still pretty hard. I mean even in his losses he tends to show that punching power pretty noticeably. Even in his most brutal loss to Dubois he landed on Dubois and got carried away but that shot def hurt him. He knocked down Ruiz. He even had pockets of power related success against Usyk. You can argue about how effective he is as a knockout artist but idk I don’t think if fury landed the same shot on Ngannou that AJ did it would’ve had anywhere close to the same impact

Once again, most people are referencing a stoppage of a 0-1 boxer as evidence of Joshua's incredible punching power. They add in "but Fury couldn't stop him!!" as well.

There are plenty of HW's in the top 20 who aren't considered big punchers who could lay a vicious KO on Ngannou simply due to technique. An untrained Fury is not the measuring stick.

All OP does is constantly make Joshua hate threads and finds a way to have a discussion about him so he can discredit him in some way.

I dont even like Joshua but the amount of hate threads and the way he can't stop talking him about him is very weird.

I'm surprised he hasn't been banned he's an obvious troll.

People who throw accusations reveal themselves. Re-read your post and consider how that applies to you. I would add myself to the mix of things stuck in the heads of some folks in this thread.

If I see fanboys overrating a fighter, any fighter, I'm going to call it out. If the fanboys of that fighter can't handle it, get upset, and follow me around thread to thread, then so be it. I will always have reason and logic on my side, and blind fanboyism will always end up looking foolish.

Amazing. Joshua stopped low level journeyman Kevin "Safety Pin" Johnson who'd lost 5 of his last 6 and showed up for a check, and............

    OTTO MFING WALLIN

    Tremendous stuff.
