E.g. for the period ending 21st February 2010, Eddie Chambers was the #3 ranked contender. This was the last published Ring rankings before he fought Wlad on 20th March 2010.

 

I am fairly confident Wlad beat 15 ranked opponents at the time of the fight maybe Monte Barrett being the 15th? I can't remember off head the 15th.

 

You may be correct Wlad has 15 x wins over Ring Magazine ranked contenders, but the November 2000 edition details rankings for the period ending 5th July and Monte Barrett is not ranked. Wlad vs Barrett was on 15th July that year.

 

You are correct yes. Someone here says it was actually Thompson 2 who was ranked at number 10 at the time of the fight but he wasn't in the year end top 10 of 2012 when I checked.

You're correct, Thompson was ranked #10 for the period ending 18th June 2012, which were the lasting rankings before his rematch with Wlad.

I've updated my original post accordingly.

 

People are largely rated on what they do in their own eras and nobody is going to view Fury, Joshua and company as great wins in the historical sense.

 

I’m more and more sold on Moses the more I watch of him. Was watching a compilation of him today and his hands are just crazy quick for his size.

The interview of him after the fight with Franklin he’s hopping from one leg to the other, I’m sure there’s something a bit off with him mentally. But he’s young in fairness.
I hope he isn’t the type to defeat himself as it were and that I’m wrong because he has everything really. An ideal blend of size and power and ridiculous speed. I think he’d beat everyone not named Usyk and really think he might beat Usyk at this point frankly.
Well get a better gauge though when he fights a genuine high level contender.

Usyk has the best five fight winning streak in heavyweight history.

 

Remember when Foreman KOed Frazier and Norton? Until Moses fights a live body, I'm taking George Foreman.

 

It’s a streak that 20 or more heavies could have replicated.
Mercer, Norton, even Morrison could conceivably do it, that’s without counting the really great heavies.

Not if you rate fighters by the context of their own eras. Legacy wise they aren't ahead of Tyson victims like Holmes Berbick etc.
