    We knew that Ngannou can actually punch a bit even if it doesn't translate directly from mma so the threat would be lessened but because of the sheer size of heavyweights it's still there. I read a lot years ago in depth about why McGregor carried power in mma but wouldn't in boxing, I'm sure Malignaggi explained it well. You would think with kickboxing a fighter knows how to correctly transfer that power into purely a boxing contest far more naturally and intelligently, since its legs and fists rather than all the martial arts and grappling. Yeah I know there's countless intangibles and nuances when you can use your legs to influence a fight. Does he actually hit hard for a kickboxer? If he doesn't have the power to hurt Usyk the fight isn't gonna go anywhere for him, he is not going to outthink Usyk.

    If Rico beats Usyk boxing is done as an elite combat sport.
    Hating the occasional dumb circus fight doesn't seem worth to see the sport of boxing itself get embarrassed and tarnished like that.
