All you have to do is look at the 1st fight, the defeats to Pacman were defo more to do with Morales decline than Pac getting better.

Pac/EM I was Morales last stand as an elite fighter & if your not elite then Pac is the no1 fighter in any division to avoid IMO.


I hear that it was Pac`s improvement that enabled him to twice stop Morales, if thats true then why did the `one dimensional` Pac demolish Barrera & the `complete Pac` win a closeish points decision ?

Marquez also did equally well vs both versions of Pacman.

If Morales wasnt on the slide of no return then stylewise I think he is more trouble for Pac than either MAB or JMM as he has the chin to engage Pac at times aswell as outbox him from distance.

Morales is underrated in general I feel but Pac IS a top 5 p4p fighter, to say otherwise is crazy, he is no1 right now IMO.

Morales mixed his long-range boxing, his counter-punching & his brawling together in one fight to beat Pac, completely different to what Marquez did.

Just because Erik watched the Pac/JMM fight doesnt mean he was copying Marquez, fighters like to pick weaknesses in their opponents styles & use their OWN SKILLS to capitalize.

If you're just going to dismiss his wins (both of them) over Barrera for no apparent reason, then you could easily dismiss these as well.

 

:roflMoron at the time I made this thread there were not even talks of pac vs Hatton or Floyd. Pac was still fighting at SFW if I'm correct.

Now I'd like to see him fight PBF or Hatton of course.
