The Official "Re-Score Froch Vs Dirrell" Thread...

this fight had like no toss up rounds and some how froch still got it.... its very interesting.... i want to see all these people who claim froch won... i want to see exactly what rounds they score for him

 

What are you talking about?There were toss up rounds(the 12th comes to mind).

I thought the 12th was a clear Dirrell round. The middle rounds and the first round had some toss up rounds I think.

 

1, 3, 6, 8, and 12 were all extremely close rounds. The 12th less so, but still.

Depends what you like.

The first minute nad a half where Dirrell does the work with flasy but IMO ineffective stuff or the fina lminute nad a half when Froch comes on and pressures him and lands a few nice ones himself.

Live I scored it for Dirrell.Rewatching it I gave it to Froch.

I've just scored the fight again watching on tv and had exactly the same score as when I was at the arena, although by slightly different route, which was 116-113 Froch

To be honest, this has hit some weird-ass geeky level similar to a Star Trek convention where people argue over translations from an alien language. At least with this topic, people bleed.

If I'm gonna continue to participate in this thread, you gonna have to tell me just how on EARTH you could possibly give round 1 to Froch.

Watch it again and tell me with no bull **** that Froch landed more than 2 CLEAN punches...while Dirrell landed many.

5.Drawn. If a round is level it's level. Giving a drawn round to one or the other fighter produces wide disparities in the final tallies which is why we often get scores such as 117-112 112-117 116-113.

I'm with you - can't see this going to Froch. Dirrell landed more and more significant and you can't credit Froch with any aggression.
