His and Lou Duva's fault Meldrick should have responded to Steele and Duva should have told his fighter to stay away in the 12th rather than go for it and he distracted Taylor while Taylor tried to respond to Steele
**** you, you don't have any idea what that type of fight takes out of a fighter because you sit at home and watch it from a tv screen.
One of the worst stoppages of all time. And it wasn't the only time Steele pulled some shenanigans for a Don King fighter, either.
Taylor was phisically, mentally, and emotionaly busted up in that fight, though winning most of the rounds (if not all). Taylor did the fatal mistake of getting caught in the corner in the 12th round. I feel for Taylor but I do feel Steele did the right thing.

Yeh but if the Refferee of the Chris Eubank vs Michael Watson II fight had stopped the fight, at the end of 11 round...? people would of complainned... "But look what happened" If Meldrick Taylor was hit with one more haymaker, who knows what could of happened...? Richard Steele was watcing the fight un close for 12 rounds... Maybe he could see damage on Meldrick Taylor, that the casual veiwer could nto see or understand...?
