Can someone explain to me why all big fights over here in Oz are on a Wednesday nite???? I mean WTF, surely having it on a Saturday nite like all the big HBO and Showtime fights would maximize potential gate and PPV sales?? Am I missing something here? Just doesn't make sense to me.

pubs and clubs are already busy on a saturday night - so no point forking out big bickies whereas **** all happens on a wednesday night so if they can pack a joint out then they get return for their investment.
