is cotto like oscar who can generate alot of money??if its not then why would pac fight him without title..its cotto who wanted pac first so it is implied that he should go down to 140 and guess what happened?? didnt pac move up to 145 instead while cotto going down only 1 pound

 

what's clear on that fight is that cotto moved much faster than he ever had
and it's pretty much visible during the early rounds, so i guess weighing less somehow benefited him

 

Pacquiao went up 5 pounds, Cotto went down 2. Pretty fair. Slight edge to Cotto.

I believe it was 146. So one pound wasn't much. And yes, at first Cotto did refuse to put his title on the line during negotiations and I thought that was fine but they both agreed and Cotto confirmed he wasn't weight drained at 145, I guess, so good for Cotto. This was a great achievement by Pac, catchweight or not. Fair play.

Ah yeah it was Clottey who was at 147, got mixed up. I agree then, I don't think the catchweight drained him.. he did look very good at the weight. And yeah fair play from him for not making excuses !

He was still far too drained, he could barely make it to the ring. Morales, Marquez, Barrera, Hatton, DLH, Valuev and all the drained crew had to carry him in there.

That wasn't no watered-down or shot-to-**** version of Miguel Cotto. It was the real deal. Pacquiao is just that good.

 

You are so wrong it's unbelievable. I'm not saying the 145 catchweight had a huge impact on Cotto at all, but how the hell did it favour him? Pac fought Oscar at 147 because Oscar was absolutely dead at the weight. The 145 catchweight and all the terms of the fight were to suit Pacquiao - Arum's cash-cow. Of course it wasn't to benefit Cotto, that's ridiculous.
