look at whats happened to the two fighters that have held it since hopkins. taylor(draw with winky,two sub par wins over jr middles,2 losses to pavlik,sub par win over lacy,back to back ko's) pavlik(decent win over taylor,the lockett debacle,schooled by hopkins,two mediocre wins against no hopers,beaten by martinez) both guys were on top of the world when they won it,touted as future superstars & within 3 years they're careers had nosedived BADLY how the hell is martinez's career gonna go from here? i swear b-hop cursed the title

not cursed - just a weak divison. Bhop - B fighter who is called an ATG for his longevity. never fought outside his home country and was beat when he fought true ATGs (who were not smaller than him) Calzaghe and RJJ. JT - Beat Bhop but really another overated fighter, lost to Pavlik. and then went on to be exposed when he fought Froch and AA. Pavlik - famous for being the man who beat the man - but really was never that good. If B-Hop, Pavlik and JT were European - then JT/Pavlik would be called Eurobums and B-Hop would be given grudging credit.
MWD is not as competitive as at earlier times but at least it's not the SuperHeavyDivision which has sucked since the years of Tyson, Bowe, Holyfield and Lewis.
3 problems. BHOP has fought outside his country before. he fought segundo mercado in ecuador. calzaghe is only an ATG when talking about crackheads. and he avenged one loss thanks to his longevity in the sport, though it was ugly, and would've avenged his one to calzaghe had calzaghe not ran like a *****. he knows he lost the first fight to hopkins and that's why he ran away from the rematch.
