Another idiot that didnt saw the fights.you dont even know that he was disqualified against Griffin in their first fight.

He didnt dominate either one in fact he was even losing in one of the scorecards at the time he was disqualified against Griffin. in the second fight between the two he completely obliterated Griffin but i was discussing the first fight on the other post not the second,and the Harding fight is one of the worst fights i've ever seen,it was mostly a staring contest with both trying to out feint each other and both scared to lead from fear of being counterpunched,i cant even remember one decent shot landed the entire fight.

 

In terms of physical ability, he's in the top 3 (if not #1). Because of that ability, skills didn't really matter - until the ability started to fade.

Obviously that doesn't answer the question regarding "skills". I can't answer that since he relied on reflexes and not on skills.

 

I guess it all depends how you define skills.

I would use the word ability. I think RJJ is one of the 30 best of all time.

i can say that griffin's performances against toney in two fights and jones in the first solidify his position as a solid contender. jones DID have a ton of trouble and let's be honest, he was ****ing frustrated against montel. i think he'd get to him eventually but it was by far his toughest fight in his prime

As an athlete he was astonishing, one of the very best, but as was stated earlier his boxing skills were not as impresive.
As for fighters who I think would've beaten him?

Griffin was a solid contender with a style that could make anyone look bad i was just pointing out that Jones first fight with Griffin is a bad example if you want to make a case about Roy being unbeatable like the other poster was trying to make.

BTW i had Toney beating Griffin twice in two very close fights.
