Blood is thicker than water. Enough said. America has never been and will never be a homogeneous mixture. Donaire will cling onto his Filipino roots if he had to choose. The ONLY reason people come to this country is for economic opportunity. If you could be just as successful as you are in this country anywhere else in the world, everyone would just move back to their ethnic roots. End of story.
If he's an American citizen, he's both. By the logic of some of you guys, nobody could ever be American because everyone's parents outside of Native Americans are 100% from somewhere else.
