Dirrell didn't beat Froch, and Abraham isn't elite. I agree with you about Ward, though. He's definetely ahead of Bute.

I havent seen anywhere where it said Kessler was favourite to win the S6. I did read at the beginning that Froch was and I read somewhere that AA was.
Remember Froch had travelling probs and bad prep for Kessler as well as fighting away, and that Ward was at home etc.
Im not saying who better out of Bute and Ward and I agree Bute hasnt fought the top guys yet but look at resumes overall but Andrade was at #3 when Bute beat him. Also consider that Cloud for beating Zuniga on points went above Dawson at LHW for doing so, in The Ring mag. Note also Bute has looked better against common opponents

Bute beat Bika - better than Ward,
    Miranda - better than Ward,
    Andrade twice,
    Joppy,
Zuniga, better than Cloud and Cloud beating Zuniga has put him above Dawson
    Brinkley
Berrio - Holds a win over Steiglitz
Magee who is a European champ and world rated fighter who hadnt lost in 10 fights
    In world title fights.

You could also note Mock, Tatvosyan and Salem

    Ward has beaten
Kessler - A very good win better than any name on Bute resume but remember that Kessler was an unwell fighter
    Miranda
Green - who lost to Miranda
    Bika
Next Abraham on a winning run of 1 injury victory and then 2 losses the last being very decisive

    You could also note Buchanan

Now Wards victory over Kessler isnt better overall than Andrade, Berrio, Zuniga etc

Why you boys mentioning Calzaghe :patsch, is it because his SMW resume pisses over Toneys and Jones or because he beat Hopkins :yep. Calzaghe wasnt in the thread to start with :patsch. It must hurt you boys

3 knockdown rule in affect, which is pure garbage. When the fight was stopped Iran had his legs under him, was ready to go, and the bell was like a few seconds from ringing. He could've continued and who knows what would've happened, as Benn was a wild and could get hurt.

Barkley was bounced off the canvas 3 times. Its a good job the 3 KD rule was in effect. Benn probably softend up Barkley for Toney with that beat down

Why a giant gap on SMW resumes between Jones and Toney? Jones beat Toney, but Toney overall has a better SMW resume than Jones.
Bute overall has a better resume than Ward. I think Steiglitz has a better win resume than Dirrell

No need to elaborate any further. That alone elevates Ward's resume above Bute's.

Toney, who needed a gift decision against Tiberi, lost to Thadzi would TKO Calzaghe? JC would be a stylistic nightmare for a counterpuncher, because he doesn't stop throwing like normal fighters do. While JC is lacking great opponents, he always found a way to win, hardly had a subpar performance in his career, while Toney had several of those. If Nunn was able to use handspeed and workrate to win 6 - 7 rounds against Toney, I don't see why JC, who has a much better chin and better stamina can't do it for 12.

No it doesnt. One win over an unwell double vision suffering fighter isnt as good as Zuniga, Berrio, Andrade twice, Magee combined

Im not saying who better out of Bute and Ward and I agree Bute hasnt fought the top guys yet but look at resumes overall but Andrade was at #3 when Bute beat him. yada yada yada I apologize for not going through your massive post but I really couldn't get past your second phrase and I tried hard. Unwell? What? Double vision? Did he look visually impaired against Froch? Your post is irritatingly biased.

Ward ****ing kicked Kessler's ass and based on that fight alone I dare say he hands Kessler's ass to him no matter which version shows up (pre-Calzaghe, post-Calzaghe or whatevr). Headbutting ended the fight early but the difference in skill was blinding even way before the headbutts occured.
