great video. I don't think anyone who has taken a keen interest in the history of boxing will put Hopkins or Pacquiao in their top10, but I do see Pacquiao as being within sight. Still behind other guys as well like Moore and SRL for example, but really close.
Fitz Langford Louis Greb Robinson Armstrong Ali Pep Charles Duran That's mine. If all active boxers retired tomorrow only holyfield, hopkins and pac would make my top 25.
it's not my list. I'd change some things as well, but I like it because he gave legit reasons for each spot
Good interesting facts... I respect the old school fighters but I just feel they will have not accomplish what they did in their era the same way if the began their careers in the 80's. Just my opinion:good
One thing is certain. Pac is at least 20 places above Gayweather in any ranking. If Pac is top 99, Gayweather would be top 120.
i know its not fashionable to be a pac fan, but the guy is easily top ten. 4 lineals and wins in a span of ten divs. duran could only go up to 160, his 9th
I think Pacquiao has been blown up so much recently that it has had a polar effect and he is under-rated. He may not be top ten but he is certainly worth a shout at an all time great title. I guess time will tell really.
I'm sorry but Pacquiao is not easily top ten. You can't shove out Ali, Fitzsimmons, Langford, Robinson, ARMSTRONG, Louis, Charles, Greb, Gans, etc. For Pacquiao.
WOW.atsch Look at the video in the first post and read what it has to say. It's not about Pacquiao not being great, but more about those fighter being on another level.
Why is it that people don't get that in Comparing old with new they would both train under the same conditions? Pulling one back in time or the other forward to the modern era.
you mentioned only nine.:deal im sorry but you cant shove out pac either. 4 lineals in a span of ten divisions. any other fighter in your list can boast of that?
:rofl lol, with this thought, im not too fond with these pseudo-ultimatums, when in reality, there's very little to compare/too many values to consider, when doing these ALL TIME GREATS stuff. Rather let the fodder squabble about who is subjectively better than who, wholly based on their lousy agendas and speculative evaulating of the fighters of completely different eras, weight classes, and level of competition
