I have much more respect for fighters like Jeff Lacy and Paulie Maliggnaggi who, despite having less talent than Cotto, took their lumps like men and finished on their feet when they could have easily bottled it when it was clear they weren't going to win.
The punishment Margarito inflicted on Cotto was far greater than the punishment bestowed upon Paulie and Lacy. How can anyone say Cotto 'bottled' it. Lets see you or anyone else get a beat down like that after giving your all in the fight and trying to get back up. Its a ****ing disgrace when armchair fans ridicule boxers for not returning to the ring after 30 minutes of intense punishment. But of course, Cotto should have tried to stand up for the last just so he can satisfy posters like yourself, I mean, thats what its all about, forget his career, health and the fact he was just brutally beat down to the point it would kill 99.9% of the worlds population, he should keep going so he can satisfy you and others that he has as much as heart as Paulie ****ing Maliggnagi. It was obvious that guy was struggling for several rounds from the accumulation of Margarito's attack. You clearly have never boxed in your life. Comparing what Cotto was copping with Malignaggi's cut is laughable. You degrade and discredit the sport of boxing by suggesting that Cotto showed no heart.
