Have to fight in their national tournaments to get a place in commonwealth team or just get placed there due to his brothers recognition :think
He made a good start i hear, missed his fight, but reading he got a 3rd round stoppage win, while 12-1 on the cards.
Yeah not going to come over well with who? I haven't seen one word about Haroon switching to Pakistan since it happened. Fair play to him he might as well try and make a name for himself with his own amateur career rather than live off Amir's name when he turns pro.
So the guy should just sit at home and feel dejected due to not making the English team??? He's done the right thing, keeping busy and if Pakistan was his ticket to competative boxing then why the hell not??

He can fight for whoever he wants, He wanted to fight for Britian but they said no so he then had chosen to box for the country of his heritage. Lennox Lewis boxed for Canada not the UK at the Olympics. Khan tries to much to be the British/Pakistan/Muslim boy, He is a boxer and should be judged on his boxing ability alone.
I think i read somewhere a few weeks ago that when the selectors saw him train they signed him up straight away. He was announced before his fight as Haroon Iqbal...so dont know if hes trying to avoid his brothers shadow, or maybe they use different parts of there names in Pakistan.
