TV ultimately killed the small clubs in the US,it made Boxing very big for a while ,but then it killed off its nurseries,where kids learned there trade.

On the subject I'd recommend "Willie Pep remembers... Fridays Heroes" if you can get hold of it. Willie's memoirs and some great little stories of those Friday night fighters.

Unfortunately no, me dad was though. It's signed by Pep and the co writer Robert Sacchi 11.5.73.
