I like Hauser from what I've read of him... what is his best (non-Ali) book?

I was too cold after football to even bother to do anything but have a large cup of tea and a bath... (at least we won I supose...)

Anyway, a book I enjoyed was Leo N. Miletich's 'Dan Stuart's Fistic Carnival' which is about the James Corbett vs Bob Fitzsimmons fight.

A couple of boxing books that fly under the radar that should be stock reading

The Big If - Johnny Owen Story
Benny - The Benny Lynch Story

Both are social commentries as well as boxing stories.

Excellent book, especially if you followed Laing's career at the time but don't hang around getting it. I spoke to the author a few months ago and he was down to his last 60 copies.

.... and to have made it even better, an interview with Colin Jones.

    :good

But, it's still a good book so don't be put off...

I'm not sure how many are left though because the author used to sell them on ebay and none are listed.

Any of Adam Pollocks books on the early Heavyweight champions are highly recommended, sadly very expensive though.

The Fitzsimmons one is the cheapest and comes very highly recommended from me.
