Agreed. Washington would be acceptable though. Kind of speaks volumes when a mediocre and largely unproven fighter like Washington is considered a very good choice opponent for someone who's held a major world title for 2 years... I'll take it though, better than Wawrzyk.
Ortiz just said he is a available and would like the fight for the 25th. He doesn't mind the short camp. Plus he is WBC rated. Let's see if Wilder holds him to it. Or wastes everyone's time with Washington or Rudenko

It's boxing... Meaning, for the most part that's the way the sport is now. Most fighters look to fight people they know they can beat. Mayweather said it best when he said why should he fight someone who can give him a challenge when he can fight a bum for just as much money. It's not just Wilder who tries to get away with fighting nothing but fringe contenders.
