Why is Roy so eager to fight Calzaghe ? Why is Tarver why was Hopkins why was anyone at super middle ? Jones ability is still good enough to compete with Joe ..He has as much experience as him as well as Hopkins ..Even at this stage its a competitve fight .. Look at Joe's fights with Beika ,Kessler and Hopkins ..You can't tell me Jones isn't as good if not better than all 3 mentioned with the exception of Hopkins..The only fight Joe looked close to dominant was in the Kessler fight and thats not saying much .. I think thats why Jones feels eager .
He's so eager to fight Calzaghe because it's a lot of money and the biggest possible fight that he can make. I'm sure he knows that he will probably lose.
