Sources for annual rankings prior to 1924?

    I just so happened to finish the upload. I have mixed feelings about it. But for better or worse, I want to take a peak at how light heavyweight, middle, welter, light, and bantam play out, in particular.

    Here is a link to a lineal ranking system i did ages ago, hopefully it is of some interest. I would love to see some comparisons with actual ring rankings and your own system.

    If my memory serves correct, i started this system using the one of the years (probably the first) of Matts rankings. I will try to find the Jack Johnson thread which i started the early years on.

    The National Police Gazette covered boxing back then and posted ratings occasionally. You have to scour the internet to find them. But they are around. The publication covered boxing/wrestling, sexy women, scandals and baseball. Stuff like that. (The good stuff. LOL)
