If they retired today, where would you rank them as ATG's?

2. pac
3. Oscar
4. bhop

Mayweather (a close second - his case can be reassessed in a near future)
Pac (a not so close third)
B-Hop (it's like riding a roller coaster)
Calzaghe (because there must be a fifth)

 

Mosley represent a serious case of boxing revisionism. Other than that, beating Vargas, Carr, JCC twice, Camacho, Leija, Paez and Hernandez has merits.

 

Dela Hoya has to be # 1 because his resume just can't be match. Win or lose, he pretty much fought them all. If you really go through all the good names that Hoya has been in the ring with, it is just insane. Pac also can't be ignore for what he did to the 3 Mexketeer. He suddently came out of nowhere and just pretty much dismantled them. I mean these were the top dogs, the guys to beat in the division.

Thats it. I could move Floyd and Hopkins around, they are neck and neck but the last 3 are right.

 

Hopkins- lets face it he has had a long succesful career with mostly wins
Oscar - He has faced everyone from 135 on up to 160. all the top names and only soundly beaten once against Hopkins. All his other losses were very competitive controversial fights.
Calzaghe - a man of incredible skill who should have chosen to fight in the US more to get more popularity. Also he was in a very unpopular weight class.
Pac - He is exciting but really other than beating MAB the first time has not fought a young great fighter in his prime. He likes to pick them as they are going to the retirement home.
PBF - He has fought all the top names from 130 -154... WAIT! no he hasnt. His mouth is what has made him so famous. Do you guys realize the biggest name on his resume is Oscar De La Hoya who gave him a very close fight despite being over the hill. PBF has great skill but has not tested it against the best in a long long time. He also should have lost against Castillo.

1.Oscar-Only because if they all retired today, Mayweather will not have fought Cotto. Big blemish on his career.
2.Mayweather-Undefeated champ in 5 divisions. Impressive resume at 130-140.
3.Pacquiao-Wins over MAB, Eric Morales, Marquez (admittedly dubious, but nothing can ever change the outcomes of those fights, so I count it).
4.Hopkins-Better resume than Calzaghes. Better overall competition, and judging from Hopkins-Calzaghe, I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb when I say Hopkins wins in a prime for prime matchup.
5.Calzaghe-Solid wins over Kessler and Hopkins, and Lacy to a lesser extent, but otherwise weak competition puts him at the bottom of this particular list.
