That devil Eddie Hearn is in for a huge wake up call if he thinks he can expect/demand for the fight to take place back in the UK.

Haymon now holds all the cards and he will once again out maneuver the snake.

The rematch will either be held in Mexico to maximize on all ppv earning potential, or back in the States, the real Lion's Den where all fraudsters and pretenders get exposed

    Amen!

Excepting Vegas ofcourse as thats mayweathers & canelo's playground & there's no truth there, but agree 100% that hearn is pushed out & haymon should push imn...Lovely!
As it should be & here's my thoughts yesterday

    The title mentioned. Rematch....
My question is does Ruiz have to accept that it will be in UK as Hear said?
Ruiz is the "First" ever Mexican HW champion of the World & the major belt holder in the division, so financially how can anyone think it would generate more cash in UK ?
We've all heard/know about Wembley etc , but this as big as it can ever get in Mexico. Move over Canelo a new golden goose is taking over!!! Ruiz is the rightful HW world champion , he & his team should have a major say where the rematch is held, why let Joshua have any more advantages , he is no longer a champ but a challenger so sit quietly sonny & wait to see what you get!!
Well done Ruiz, great fight , great heart & took nothing for granted. As far as Joshua being humble
..No he WAS humbled & shown to be exactly what Tyson Fury has said he is..a useless bodybuilder...Wilder would employ a scorched earth policy on Joshua, Fury would make it look like Joshua was blind folded & Ruiz would win in better style...Hearns glum face brightened up my day
    lol

All depends on what the contract says.
If it states that in case of Ruiz winning (like he did), has to rematch Joshua on UK soil, then all cards he or the Haymon are supposed to hold are duds. Like the mention of Ruiz not going for the rematch at all, and fighting Wilder, which
Sure they will try to negotiate, but they can't breach contract of course.

I highly doubt it would ever happen in Mexico, as you can't trust the cows there as far as you can throw them.

It's about the contract. If there was a rematch clause which says the rematch is in the UK it'll be in the UK. Haymon can do what he wants if the contract says so.

Hypothetically what would happen if haymon broke contract and not rematches? How much would he lose in court? He may decide it’s worth paying off just to shut hearns out.

Andy Ruiz deserves for the rematch to be in Mexico but the rematch clause probably states that Eddie can hold the rematch where he wants and a split is probably already agreed in there.

I’m pretty sure he’ll lose the WBO, it’s a shame Usyk didn’t have that fight in May as he could have been fighting Whyte for it which would have been great.

100% should be in the champions home turf, he deserves that right. It keeps the fight fair as well as Juicusa won't have the protection of UKAD to hide and cheat behind as he's been doing and getting away with until now. They would easily sell out the the Azteca stadium plus the US and Mexican TV revenue would be much bigger than anything the UK could put up.

California is right next to Mexico, so it'd be great if it's held there.

Haymon I'm sure will do all he can to protect his fighter and keep him world champion and so he should. Ruiz is easy marketable and can generate a lot of money with his Mexican following, his humble personality and the way he looks. Ruiz winning the title gives everyone hope and makes people realise that they dont have to look like a Joshua.

the belts arent tied to the rematch, so i wonder if Haymon will find some loophole. He was a lawyer after all

Eddie Hearn is not a dummy. 100% he will have the rematch tied to a UK venue in the contract.

Well this is an interesting scenario. Hearn might be able to contractually force Ruiz to rematch Joshua, he might even be able to force that rematch to be in the UK but he can't force the sanctioning bodies to do anything they don't want to, they signed nothing. So if that fight is to be for the belts, Hearn can't get too heavy-handed with negotiations.

If Haymon pushes for a unification fight between Ruiz and Wilder and pays Ortiz step-aside money to free up a date later this year; and gets the sanctioning bodies on-side (they tend to give priority to unification fights over everything else), what can Hearn do to stop that?

My point is this. Ruiz may have signed a contract which includes an immediate rematch but the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO did not...

No they didn't, and they wouldn't care about who's fighting for it and what the contract says.
But if it says immidiate rematch (maybe in the UK), and Ruiz/Haymon/whoever blows it off, the court is going to look towards potential financial losses for Joshua/Hearn, which would be faq-ing huge because of Joshua's enormous earnings in the UK! Probably much more as Ruiz is going to earn in total for fighting Wilder for all the belts.
So, not really smart business wise.
