Aaron Pryor, TKO 7 over Meldrick Taylor, Pryor was not a distance type of fighter, he liked to put an end to a match as early as possible. The volume of his blows was tremendous.
I tend to pick Taylor becuz Pryor is HUGELY overrated. Arguello is alredy past his best by the time he fought and Cervantes was over the hill. Chavez is much more skilled and a harder puncher (at least imo). Taylor was competitive and arguably could've done better. Taylor by MD.
This fight is awesome ... and probably would break the record for the most punches thrown in a title fight .. This isnt Pryor going against an 80 plus fights already in him Arguello or a past it Cervantes .. The Taylor of the McGirt fight is going light Pryor up getting off first.. Pryor is going to get hit a lot with that hand speed of Taylor and Pryor's suspect D leaving himself open for counters ... BUT the punches are coming the other way also.. And the 3 inch reach adv. and lead right from Pryor is going to land right in the face of Taylor when he leaves his left down ..the work rate and toughness of Pryor is going to outlast Taylor in a 15 round fight and Pryor gets the close decision ... but its a 60 - 40 fight for me .. Taylor wins a 12 rounder

I second it. This fight would be insane. Taylor is all Philly and would go out on his shield. And when he wanted to he could box like in the Buddy fight. But he always exchanged too much. Pryor by late stoppage in an action packed fight.
I doubt Chavez hit harder than Pryor at 140 and I'd favor that ,,"past it" Arguello to beat Chavez at 140
Taylor had the speed and skill to give Pryor problems. But his questionable durability would become an issue as the fight progressed
It'd be a brilliant fight but Pryor overwhelms, beats up and stops Taylor. Too much dog, too much firepower and too dynamic. Pryor was far more aggressive and reckless than Chavez. He'd be right on Taylor, banging him in the pocket and running him through as he tried to step out of the pocket. Sure, Taylor is a good bit faster and has the cleaner technique, but the class and ruggedness of Pryor is too much for him. More so than Chavez ever could be.
I do not think Taylor has the firepower to keep Pryor at bay. Aaron walks through the hailstorm of blows and stops Taylor in 10.
