    Let's say Wilder retires now.

    Do you respect him ?

Is he done enough to have your respect as a fighter ?

No. He's been active for 16 years and only has 3 wins over rated fighters, think about that for a second. Is there a single P4P or HW ATG who hasn't had more than that in a single year ? It's very possible that the answer to that is a flat out no.

    1) Wanting a body on his record
    2) Egotistical, superiority complex
    3) Playing the race card
    4) Protected.
    5) Filled with nonsensical excuses

Is anyone claiming he is an ATG? He has done well in boxing and given us some good entertainment over the years. My only issue with him is the AJ fight not happening when they were both undefeated champions.

He had 1 good opponent win, and that was Ortiz, who was 40 years old, and Wilder was saved by the referee in that time, as he was given extra time to recover, totally outside of the rules.
Stiverne was trash, and every single other opponent was trash. Every single good opponent has beaten Wilder, every.
    Parker, Fury, Zhang.
His power is heavily overrated as well.

I respect him for his heart, for never quitting even when he was getting battered by Fury in their 2nd and 3rd fights.

But his excuse-making makes it impossible to like him
He should have defended the WBC belt against better contenders
And I would consider him a waste of natural God-given athletic gifts (speed and power) because it seems like he never truly made an effort to learn to box at an elite level, only looking to just land a right hand.

Not in the slightest, say what you want about his resume (it’s weak as pis) but the excuses and the accusations against his trainer that are what really make him so despicable.
He accused his trainer of drugging his water knowing it was bollocks and kept at it to the point of taking him to court, essentially he was willing to ruin a good man and his life and reputation rather than admit his own faults.
It’s this type of behaviour that ultimately made him unable to develop as a boxer and learn from his mistakes.
He blamed everyone and everything and that is the lowest trait a man can have never mind a champion, the worst champion in history in any sport.
He is everything not to be as a sportsman

His punching power during his prime years was respectable.
