Unfortunately Thomas Hearns has been broke for 20 plus years actually. He was just the opposite of "frugal" as friends and family have been taking advantage of him since day 1. Tommy just could never say No to anybody and he paid the price for it. Taking care of everyone. He has owed the IRS money forever and had to auction off all of his boxing memorabilia because of it. He never dodged his problem or put the blame on others and has worked with the IRS to pay off what he owes. Sad to hear vultures still are circling to fight over what is left, which isnt much is my guess. I hope the best for Hearns. He will need whats left for his care.
It is sad. Wish their were more people like Gerald McCellan's sister who has taken care of her brother for 30 years. She also is helping now with Benitez and giving them care they need.
