Can we have a 'boxing ez dooomed!!" super thread where we can merge all this bull**** together?

Same goes for every Floyd-Pac topic.

    Mods need to clamp down.

Boxing will die on the day Steve Arreola retires.

I'm always amazed by people who claim that 2 or 3 boxers can damage a global sport that has tens of thousands of participants and millions of fans sread out all over the world.

So all the boxers training now should just quit because they were born in the 70's 80's or 90's ? Did Leonard and Hearns have to compete with MMA + Ultimate Fighting and major sports with billions of dollars marketing and hyping sports to customers? There are more NBA channels now than there were tv stations when those guys fought. The popularity has nothing to do with all time greats and everything to do with the arrogant thought that boxing is not what it used to be. It is exactly what it used to be and it always needs a major star who appeals to the world to give it that boost.

Manny and Floyd had the chance to make one of the biggest sporting events in history and for sure in boxing history and it is even more special when you think about how many more organized sporting leagues exist with sponsor $'s that would make people back then **** in their pants.

If you been living under a rock the last 25 years your point make sence:patsch
In time things changes, including sports! Just because you cant adapt to new times, doesn`t mean the sport is dying to others who still love it! But you can just stay living in the past, if you want!

boxing was doing quite well when mayweather was retired. top guys fighting each. and in the previous era fighters don't fight once a year. so mayweather is still screwed.

boxing isn't dead....but it will remian a non-mainstream sport that people will flock too only a couple of times a year when a really special fight emerges.

what floyd is doing by ignoring the manny fight is biting the hand that feeds him -and that's ****ing selfish.

boxing needs it's 'big nights' to stay on the radar.
