Oh, he's not the only one. Maybe I should start a thread about fighters(their team) that rejected me and fought a guy that has no chance. Before I cared, because I felt like I didn't want start trouble or burn bridges. At this point however, I don't really give a fck. I want to get rated again. I've been working hard to get this spare tire off me. I'm punching very hard right now and my punch resistance is very good. You guys would get a kick out of some rejections I got recently.
When the Mitchell hype was in full swing i was saying that Rivas is what Seth would be if he actually had any skills. Similar height, power and attributes only Oscar had a quality amateur career and is 10x more polished. I thought i heard he got in trouble, either dropped or hurt, in one of his recent fights though?
It follows that Ding wouldn't be the right move for them now, then. :yep Maybe Rivas is Mitchell plus except in the chin department. :think
Rivas at a questionable 6' tall might be wiser to drop down to cruiserweight unless he develops serious Frazier-like knockout power. There's already talk of him challenging Neven Pajkic for his Canadian heavyweight title, but he might need more seasoning. ...
Darnell "Ding-A-Ling" Wilson. Currently a heavyweight, but made his name at cruiser as a huge puncher, sort of a Cinderella man who enjoyed a nice run of success after a long rough patch, was frequently on TV several years back, often scoring knockout of the year candidates.
interesting. he beat pulev in beijing 2008 and then lost to camarelle in the quarter finals in the same event
Thanks IB! I've just looked at his record and Mr.Ding-a-Ling is certainly NOT a ducker with the names I saw there. Nothing padded. Respect.
Remember this guy from the '08 Olympics and have had him on my boxrec watch list for a while . Not really seen him as a pro, what's the SD on his record about?
"Mitchell plus, except in the chin department". Meaning better than Mitchell, except with the same chin.
